  1. Slower Setup for Harimoto alc

Get a hurricane 3 blue and hurricane 3 37°. Thank us later. If you have issues controlling the ball after that, it's on you. Your blade has plenty of speed, and the hurricane isn't hard to control or slow.
  2. Hybrid K1 vs. K3. whats the difference?

Maybe bad gluing. It could have an air pocket and lifting, the glue just not sticking, it happens. Maybe it's just that you're not used to hard hybrids, it could be a bunch of things. The k3 for example seems pretty bouncy to me for a hybrid rubber.
  3. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Hell no, everyone came to the tacky side even with hybrids. All hail the globe 999, the legend that started it all!
  4. How do you block a flat fast drive from short pips?

Open the racket angle, you'll be able to hit it back too. With a bit of practice.
  5. San Francisco looking for training partner.

Lol, tell that to Heming Hu, he'll laugh in your face. Hurricane 3 with booster is a real life cheat code.
  6. How long do rubbers last?

Short answer: Depends. Long answer: We'll be here talking for a week. So yeah, someone can help explain. Generally anywhere between 6 months for sensitive rubbers, for example the k3, and 2 years for the most durable old technology rubbers, like yasaka mkv. I've seen a mkv last for over 5...
  7. Club level players using Counter-Loop vs block?

I generally try everything on the first set to get a feel for my opponent, placement, spin, power, everything. If I see that I can handle his spin and power, I counter, if not, I block. I find that countering isn't done for power and finishing a point outright, I don't end rallies like that. It...
  8. Hammond Z2 Vs Fastarc G1

I find z2 extremely grippy, dignics level, and doesn't react strongly to spin. It throws the ball a bit lower than g1 too. G1 is also very grippy, but not as much as z2, it also bites spin more. G1 feels safer when doing topspin shots because it has a higher arc, but z2 grabs and spins the ball...
  9. If You're Not Good at Playing vs LP and AntiSpin, It Just Means, You Need to Improve

You'd think that's obvious, but apparently not to Igor.
  10. Xiom Vega Korea Review

It looks perfectly normal for a rubber of that age, and the cracking that some people were worried by seems to have stayed stable. Seems like a perfectly good addition to the Vega lineup. And one last question, how is the throw and curve when looping? Compared to a Tenergy 05 for example...
  11. Xiom Vega Korea Review

Sorry to revive this old thread, but how are the older vega koreas holding up? After 7~8 months are they still in one piece? Have they shrunk? Is the grip still good and the sponge lively? Sounds like a good rubber, but durability is a major concern.
  12. Buy another pair of Rakza 7 or buy different rubbers?

Isn't it a carbon blade? If so then it's a bad choice. If you want more spin and control, it means you want something softer with more dwell. A carbon blade is the opposite. A bit old technology so not the most grippy and safe, but it's pretty good for what it is. The G1 is good and really easy...
  13. If You're Not Good at Playing vs LP and AntiSpin, It Just Means, You Need to Improve

Or you can try to get good and stop crying? Ever thought of that?
  14. Buy another pair of Rakza 7 or buy different rubbers?

You could try rakza x, it's much faster but deosn't really lack control, Fastarc G1 is a classic and Hammond Z2 is exceptional but pricy. For the blades, maybe going down to a 5ply will help with stable looping. A korbel japan would be a good choice. It's a bit slower but it's the defacto...
  15. Nittaku Genextion is out

Lol, China better catch up then
  16. How to navigate through Stigas line of 5-ply allwood blades?

Energy wood has weird feel, not many people like it. You have to try it and see if it suits you because it's light for what it is, headheavy and kinda flimsy. Nostalgic is also a bit weird because they are hard, heavy, super fast and reactive. They pair well with classic rubbers like yasaka mk...
  17. How to navigate through Stigas line of 5-ply allwood blades?

Because there's also a normal round version for 20€ less. The cwt has the weight gimmick so whatever, and the carbon is a plain ol' good blade.
  18. Buy another pair of Rakza 7 or buy different rubbers?

Rakza 7 is already a really good rubber with massive potential, same with the sk7. If you liked it then don't change. Else write what you didn't like and the boys will help you here.
  19. Nittaku Genextion is out

And I thought Butterfly is expensive... 80 euros for any rubber is too much, but for a German rubber? That's just crazy.
