  1. Tenergy for $42?

Why are you asking me that? Have you ever bought Butterfly products? What kinds of things do they do to show the authentic products? Why don't you tell me? Do they have holographic lenses on one side of the handles of their blades? Do they put holographic images in the wrapping on their...
  2. Tenergy for $42?

Yeah. I don't know what the boundaries and borders are for selling Butterfly for TT11 but, UK is not in their borders and I don't think they were before Brexit either.
  3. Tenergy for $42?

BTW: I am pretty sure, that if you were in Europe, and you went to TT11's website you would see Butterfly products for sale. But because you are in the USA, if you go to their site, you will not see Butterfly products because they can only sell Butterfly products to the European market.
  4. Tenergy for $42?

Information that may help you: Butterfly fixes prices regionally and does not allow sellers to sell out of their region. If you were in USA, you cannot order Butterfly rubbers from a seller in Europe like TT11. You would have to buy from a regional seller. For US, Mega Spin and Paddle Palace...
  5. blade stiffness

What you are asking about is really something that comes down to personal preference. One person will say something like: "T05 works really well on the Innerforce ALC but it does not work well on a TB ZLC." Another person will say: "T05 works really well on a TB ZLC but it doesn't work well on...
  6. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

H3 is a very different kind of rubber than the others. If you have not used hard Chinese Tacky rubbers before, it may take you a long time to get used to them (2-6 months) before you adjust your technique to how you have to use them since how you use them is very different than the old or the...
  7. For those over 30yo, what could you have done differently?

Nah, it is more, because I see things upside down and backwards. :) But..... I am fully capable of being upside down as well. Also, long time members of the forum will have seen photos like these plenty of times before. I was in the circus and I am a yoga teacher. But I guess...
  8. For those over 30yo, what could you have done differently?

As I close in on 60, what would I have done differently? Catch more air:
  9. Returning to table tennis, lots of change! Did I buy the wrong blade and rubbers?

The truth of the matter is, you could listen to half the group and keep using what you are using and just train till you get used to it. Or you could slow down the setup and put that one on the shelf for a few months. Either approach will work. Which one is better for you? I am going to say...
  10. I wanna play with the big boys!

I also find it interesting that someone who trains, works hard, enjoys table tennis, and enjoys the work it takes to improve, would see training and playing vs LP players as something he wouldn't want to do -- would want to avoid even by banning the material -- even if he knows that it will help...
  11. I wanna play with the big boys!

Interesting to see a quote get taken out of context when the quote is so directly encased in its context. The LP player has to be able to read, respond to and handle the levels of spin that the high level two winged looper deals out. Or does anyone think that a 1500 level player who simply...
  12. I wanna play with the big boys!

I could be wrong but I think it is not just the stroke but the depth of contact that allows a good pips player to vary what they send back to you; so subtleties in how they touch the ball seem to be important. But, I guess the value of having a decent level pips player explain some of the...
  13. I wanna play with the big boys!

To me, it would be interesting to hear, from an experienced and decently high level LP player how different kinds of contact using LP would create different effects, different kinds of spin. And to hear what kinds of things you need to learn and get good at to be effective using LP. People who...
  14. I wanna play with the big boys!

As far as the digression on LP, it is interesting to me that so much time has been spent on that subject; also interesting that something that limits a player's ability to make offensive shots would be presented as a devastating weapon, and the idea that the LP player does not need to know how...
  15. I wanna play with the big boys!

Come on Tony. Why is it all one thing or its opposite with no nuance? You know that I know you have plenty of good posts, yes, in this thread too. Of course you have good posts. And of course, as a coach, you know what you are talking about. The stuff that I was responding to was you...
  16. I wanna play with the big boys!

Actually, as the quote of mine in your post clearly indicates, it is what I am NOT A FAN OF. When someone is rude, and their post is a total waste of time, it does get annoying, especially if they keep at it over and over and over, as I feel has happened here and as I feel is still happening...
  17. I wanna play with the big boys!

Yeah. I agree with what you are saying about the serve. Maybe Lazer was doing what you were saying. I read it differently and I think it is still a fine perspective for the OP to hear that some people don't try to simply win points with serve. Perhaps there is a better way of saying it...
  18. Stiga blades comparison.

So, you made a recommendation that was not actually possible in the real world?
  19. I wanna play with the big boys!

You are saying this to Lazer after he has said that he gets JJ NG's point but that, for him it is not what he would want. Given the context above, he already has said "Totally agree on this" why are you responding to him at all if it is for the OP and why are you not saying: "For the OP winning...
  20. I wanna play with the big boys!

Your point about how serve is also about third ball and point construction as you get to a certain level is important.
