  1. [Equipment Guide] Best First Intermediate Table Tennis Rubbers in 2026: A Comprehensive List & Analysis

I don't like fire and ice i think theyre a bit pants overall that would be more of a first ever custom bat thing.
  2. [Equipment Guide] Best First Intermediate Table Tennis Rubbers in 2026: A Comprehensive List & Analysis

Rhyzen ZGR used to the best rubber for prime imo it's a bit slower than dynarz CMD but has a semi tacky top sheet it's awesome both sides. CMD kinda is a bit fast for first intermediate rubber in between G1 and t19 but very spin insensitive which is nice could change to rhyzen CMD for a bit...

Fastarc G1 Joola dynarz CMD Rakza z Rhyzen ZGR Curl p1r Battle 2 H8-80
  4. Who are the players you enjoy watching the most? and least?

Personally it's liang jingkun because his repeating predictable style leads to very exciting matches.
  5. Stiga infinity vps speed

Dont listen to the whataboutisms, he is right that players can achieve a very high level with all wood but its irrelevant to the point. Every type of equipment has been used to the level of Karlsson. All wood penhold, carbon penhold, 1 ply hinoki, outer carbon, inner carbon etc etc etc it...
  6. Stiga infinity vps speed

its a decent blade overall for newer players its ideal as an introductory blade imo. but for established offensive players inner alc would probably be better as the vps has a hollow feel when looping imo
  7. An ambiguous question concerning the long pimples

Alain because nothing is ever completely correct and we play for fun. If you don't like playing somone just don't. Most leauges do not conform to: Some rubbers have chips in the edge Lighting requirements Flooring Requirements Space requirements Old balls that have no grip left Not all tables...
  8. WTT Contender Muscat-2026 (19- 24 January 2026)

as a lefite, you're wrong. The ball is visible at contact to us out wide but wouldnt have been during the toss from where WCT was standing. This happens to me a lot, when people serve it would be legal to a right handed player because they stand on the other side of the table but to a leftie is...
  9. How to play with a hard ball?

Honestly you just need to adapt to the ball. same as the table. A new grippy 19mm table will bounce low and be very reactive compared to the prized 25 year old 25mm. In my mordern ball experience High quality and reproducability: BTY: Low spin very high bounce, excellent for flat hitters and...
  10. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

I agree with you a bit but this thread is clearly not pointed at people who are in olympic programmes. Its more for dave down the leisure club who has turned up to a real club last month. and dave should probably use Rhyzen CMD and some moderate blade for a year or so.
  11. The Myth of the Perfect Forehand

also to add, its folly to watch professionals and say "they focus on winning points so I should too" they have coaches for hours each week to improve their technique too they mean quirky stuff like: sometimes serving long or playing a down the line shot here and there as they already have...
  12. The Myth of the Perfect Forehand

The "perfect" technique is one that works in context of your whole game. somone with pips BH might be able to have a more quirky forehand at a higher level because they don't have the same system. Focusing on point absolutely makes you worse in the long run if you dont have coaching and play at...
  13. WTT Contender Muscat-2026 (19- 24 January 2026)

Xiang Peng needs an X factor, he is super consistant and plays "the right shots" but he seems to regularly struggle against anyone with decent defence. I note he frequently struggles against people who block his inside out forehands or who keep him pinned on the BH he seems to lack the X factor...
  14. Xiom new collection (2026)

Does this mean Xiom Striker will be the only available hinoki zlc blade that is from a mainstream manufacturer
  15. My $1000+ setup, my opinions on Golden Viscaria + Zyre 03 2.7mm

lol we can all beat people worse than us at anything with anything. If your suggestion is that don't use equipment unless you can beat players with significantly better skill level than you no one would be allowed to play. Unless the rubber is hurting their development then it shouldn't...
  16. My $1000+ setup, my opinions on Golden Viscaria + Zyre 03 2.7mm

I use Z03 on the w968, its awesome for me. I also like D05. Zyre is much more like a brush looping H3 than a hit looping 05. Great rubber has massively improved my leauge results compared to controlled BH rubbers.
  17. WTT Star Contender Doha 2026 Jan 13-18

What rumour? Sorry this just loops back to a comment about fanzhendong's legs
  18. Butterfly Zyre 03

It's interesting I found the opposite, I couldn't stand D09c and found Z03 to be a fairly easy conversion but used Rakza Z EH and H3 provinical as my main bat since about 2021. It's probably my funky azz amateur techniques.
  19. Butterfly Zyre 03

As a user of H3 mostly forehanrd or Rakza Z Hard and Control rubber backhands (Dynarz CMD/Rakza Z) it plays very fine to swap from H3 and Rakza but very different to T05 or CMD. Brush looping and spinny flicks are no issue at all with an inner carbon blade (W968) but harder drives are difficult...
  20. Pushing the ball without bounce. So stupid rules it is.

Tbh Igor this is below even your nonsence it is clear in the rules anders is wrong here no need for revision.
