  1. Should i buy joola rossi emotion or sanwei hynover ?

I am glad we got this thread going so you no longer feel you need to post in other threads randomly to try and get people to answer questions in your thread. You just needed to give more information about yourself and people started to give you some of the help you were looking for.
  2. Which glue is more safe for the wood?

Okay. Fair enough. And yeah. I guess I did misread your earlier post. So you think putting a coat of the old glue on the wood surface, the solvents would sink all the way in to the laminated area under the top ply? That is interesting.
  3. Should i buy joola rossi emotion or sanwei hynover ?

A bit faster is different than a lot faster. So, Keepspinning, you have to decide if you want to try other blades in the same general speed class as ones you found too fast. Or if you want to try a blade without a composite layer. The Jonyer H is fairly slow compared to the blades you...
  4. Which glue is more safe for the wood?

Regular rubber cement and speed glue are not all that different. If you are saying to use speed glue but not to use rubber cement I am not sure what to make of that since the main difference is that speed glue has loads more solvent. If you were using a ton of solvent on the Poly sealant and...
  5. Should i buy joola rossi emotion or sanwei hynover ?

When you say it is fast, is it as fast as TB ALC? Viscaria? It sounds like he felt those blades are too fast and usually when Hinoki is paired with carbon you get blades that are very fast. And the reviews do seem to indicate it is pretty fast.
  6. Should i buy joola rossi emotion or sanwei hynover ?

Based on what you said above, why don’t you try a 5 ply, all wood, Hinoki blade. Maybe Darker 5p-2a? That should be faster than the Jonyer but not as fast as any of the composite blades you mentioned.
  7. Should i buy joola rossi emotion or sanwei hynover ?

Can you post footage or at least explain your level, your style of play, what racket (blade and rubbers) you are currently using, and what you would like from a blade, and maybe what you want from rubbers as well. If you give people information about how you play, what you are using and what...
  8. Which glue is more safe for the wood?

Also, any TT glue is fine. Old, simple, classic Rubber Cement (any brand) with VOCs is safer for the wood because it does not have WATER, and water based glues clearly have water. Also old glues (also referred to as speed glues) are easier to remove than water based glues so, taking the...

Sometimes I wonder about people's sanity.
  10. Which glue is more safe for the wood?

All you want is the amount that sinks into the wood and not the stuff on the surface. So, not sure that would matter. I use MinWax Wipe-On-Poly. It has been thinned so it can be applied with a cloth. That is ideal. It having been thinned to 1/3 the thickness of a normal Poly allows it to...
  11. Which glue is more safe for the wood?

Yeah, ONE LAYER of Sealant should be fine. A long time ago I used to use two. Then I started using one. One very thin layer of sealant; that is really all you need. I agree that you should use better rubbers.
  12. Am in the wrong or is this super annoying to everyone else as well?

Yeah. Walk up to the guy on the sidelines and tell him you can't have him talking during your match and that maybe he should sit somewhere else. Any time he tried to talk to your opponent in the middle of a point, you can hold your hand up, like for a let, and walk away from the table. But...

In many ways, this is quite a good idea. It might cut the # of threads on TTD by 1/3 and the content in all those separate threads is really one topic. I guess there is more than one TTD member who really has only one subject. I find it entertaining how, in many threads that are not at all...

I did have to lobby for a while to get the "Merge Thread" option added to the new site. But it came with several other nice benefits.

I am not sure, can I take the unrelated content and move it to a new thread? You tell me? :)

I had a feeling you would have played in that club. I think, below it was a Korean billiards club and below that was a night club with an edge. The people who rant the TT club also ran the billiard and the other stuff in the building. For NYC though, it was a really nice club.

I have been thinking about making a comment about the hijacking. But I can remove all this at a certain point if GM wants. Just not the stuff about calling names and personal attacks. That is specific to content on the thread.

You mean you aren’t going to represent your country in doubles? 😃

I used to play in a club called Mammoth on 38th St & 8th Ave in Manhattan in the early 1990s and every so often Marty used to show up and the place would go wild with all the top players there wanting to play him for money, making side bets, and some of them trying to negotiate point handicaps...
