  1. Tibhar Drinkhall Allround & Offensive Classic Blade Review

5Q VIP is harder than Vega Europe, but softer than Vega Pro. If you like spinning the ball on both wings and do that equally well, go with 5Q. If your BH is weaker than your FH (or vice versa), go with the Vegas.
  2. Polish Open 2015

Apparently, excessive World Cup victory celebration is the cause of Ma Long's neck injury: "I talked with Chinese players and interestingly, it turns out that Ma Long suffered the injury ... celebrating the victory in Sweden. He lay down with joy on the floor and violently twisted his neck"...
  3. Jun mizutani blade

Sorry, I posted the wrong link to the "new" one.
  4. Jun mizutani blade

If it was, it would be a steal for only £169.99 :-) The "newest" is here for only £279.99: http://www.teessport.com/blades-c5/butterfly-jun-mizutani-super-zlc-off-table-tennis-blade-p9150
  5. Tibhar Drinkhall Allround & Offensive Classic Blade Review

I was asked to make up a bat for one of the new players at my club yesterday. The blade is Paul Drinkhall Classic FL and rubbers - BTY Shriver. The blade looks and feels well made, no rough edges or surfaces anywhere. The edges near the handle are not sanded off, but they don't feel sharp nor...
  6. Is This Viscaria Legit?

Thorntons is a very reputable web store here in UK, heh, unlike a certain store operated by a member of this forum, they actually pay tax and don't hide behind anonymous chat accounts. In the unlikely event a product purchased from Thorntons proves to be faulty, you can just send it back and...
  7. Nexy Calix I experience with poly ball?

I take it you've noticed that Calix II is somewhat different than Calix. IMHO, Nexy Calix is an excellent blade with unique properties. I've got both Calix and Calix II with the same rubbers, and can switch between each with very little adjustment. Short game and looping feel a bit better...

  9. Mark v

The dome will be as you expect when one applies the booster to the side of the sponge opposite to the topsheet (as in Liten's "experiment" from the other thread :-)). However, the manufacturer has access to the sponge before the topsheet is attached, and can choose to apply booster/factory...
  10. How did you decide Chinese versus Tensor rubber on FH?

What glue did you use? I've subjected H3 Neo to similar torture using Falco Long in the past, and BTY water based glue handled it just fine.
  11. Nexy Kanaph

You got me. Sadly, I forgot to take a selfie with her. Can you please post the pictures here? No one at my club believes I met Ding Ning in real life, and some even claim my blue-sponge H8 is a fake :-) P.S.: I apologize to the OP for hijacking the thread.
  12. Nexy Kanaph

Nope, you and the goon squad overhyped it a bit, so I stayed away from it.
  13. Nexy Kanaph

Correct. I had purchased H8 back in March, and at the time plastic ball suitability was furthest from my mind. The league season was coming to an end, and it was a good time to get a new FH rubber to get used to during the summer - after having played with the same sheet of H3N on FH for an...
  14. Nexy Kanaph

"rubber/blade designed for play with poly balls" is nothing but a marketing trick designed to make you spend money. Calix 2 is just fine, trust me buddy.
  15. Hello

Your member name claims otherwise :-)
  16. Does anyone else here do speedcubing? And how fast are you?

This brings back childhood memories! I was rubbish at solving the Rubik's cube :-( Googled "speedcubing 3x3" and it came up with this link https://uk.rubiks.com/speed-cubing that mentions "lubrication of the rubik's cube", "tensioning" and "finger tricks". I can see how this can easily appeal...
  17. Huge Fonts

Seems a bit smaller, and, IMHO, looks better. I'll check on my work pc on Monday. As always, thanks for quickly sorting this out - yet another reason why TTD rules!
  18. Huge Fonts

    The list of thread titles.
  19. Huge Fonts

Hi Dan, thanks for the quick response. I am fully aware of the feature, and quite like it. However, as of today, the font size in the list of latest threads is almost twice what it was yesterday. This seems to be an issue affecting browsers on Linux only, hence my query.
  20. Huge Fonts

What's up with the huge fonts on ttd front page? I've checked Chrome and Firefox on Linux.
