  1. Any way to report spam/bot accounts?

There is a service. Any new member gets checked. When I look at the queue for approval I can see how many times the email and IP address have tried to create accounts and how often it has been tagged for spam before. There is more than that. But that is a simple explanation of the stuff that...
  2. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

"True DeadPanner" ????? Most deadpanners don't laugh and cause a ruckus while deadpanning. :)
  3. Air bubble in topsheet

I may have been quiet, but I was not gone. If I was, the serious mass of SPAM that has been hitting the site would still be around and all you would see is a wall of posts in Chinese alphabet about porn, call girls, casinos and fake college degrees. :)
  4. Air bubble in topsheet

This is an old old thread. Before Fatima's post from today, the next most recent post was from 2011.
  5. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

It seems you have joined the thread a few posts in, huh! :)
  6. Any way to report spam/bot accounts?

It amounts to the same thing. If I see the report and it is spam, I will make them disappear. But I may be the only one doing it. I have let Dan know that every time I go on, there is a wall of spam.
  7. Attack of the Spambots

I have notified Dan. But it is totally crazy. I have never seen anywhere near as much spam accounts getting through.
  8. how durable are chinese rubbers?

One problem with the question is that it implies that Chinese rubbers are ONE thing when there are soooooo many different kinds of Chinese rubbers: there is a great deal of variation in kind, quality and durability of Chinese rubbers. Another problem with the question, if you want one answer...

    Spin and more spin.
  10. Rubber throw angle topic again.

@Zwill, point taken. @Tony, I see nothing wrong with asking someone's rating or level or asking for footage. In my opinion, someone who is trying to give advice on the forum should show his level of play so people can tell who they are getting information from.
  11. Rubber throw angle topic again.

If BrokenBall does not know why so many people dislike him, and you are not interested in what he has to say, just ignore him. Tony, you are definitely trying to make fun of him. To me, it comes off like bad behavior, just like his saying he is not behaving badly while calling people words...

  13. Rubber throw angle topic again.

Can I be honest, I know a lot of people don't like and don't have patience for BrokenBall. I get why. But none of you who try to attack him, from my perspective, look good doing it either. Just ignore the guy if he rubs you the wrong way. He is on his last chance on the forum. The last...
  14. Rubber throw angle topic again.

It doesn't really matter to me what you use. But if you need the equipment to create the pace, your technique still needs some work. Someone with really solid technique would get serious oooommmphhhh out of a Xiom Offensive S with Vega Pro or Vega Europe on it. But, use what you want. My...
  15. Rubber throw angle topic again.

Something like that would be interesting from the standpoint of analysis and trying to understand the differences in different rubbers. But for most amateurs, getting something that they can handle, learning how to read the incoming spin on the ball and how to respond to that incoming spin, and...
  16. Rubber throw angle topic again.

Yep. I agree with this. I would also say, this post explains why Gozo is looking in the wrong direction by simply examining "throw angle" for how to make him stop missing and hitting shots that go off in unpredictable directions.
  17. Rubber throw angle topic again.

And if that is how you are defining "high throw", only based on the reaction while facing topspin, then, it is worth knowing, that is how much the rubber grabs the ball and how reactive it is to incoming spin. Also, if you are talking about how reactive to incoming spin, then it is worth...
  18. Rubber throw angle topic again.

What you are describing sounds simply like how reactive to incoming spin the rubber is. Like, if on a topspin shot, the ball comes off the rubber at a higher angle going upward, on a backspin shot, would it come of the rubber with a larger angle going downward? Or does the term apply to the...
  19. Rubber throw angle topic again.

I guess I feel like elaborating. The blade and rubbers you have are fast fast fast. The rubbers you have are very grippy and very reactive to incoming spin. To use the rubbers, you kind of need to be quite good AT READING incoming spin and quite good at KNOWING HOW to touch the ball at an...
  20. Rubber throw angle topic again.

You are trying to use the idea of throw angle to figure out what rubbers to use. But you are misunderstanding the principles. If higher arc lets you land the ball safer and lower arc means you need to be much more precise, lower throw angle is not really what you want if you are missing more...
