Ha ha, no need for apologies. It's been a super exciting couple of days, and the ittf's website has been crapping out. Makes it hard to see the tournament progress.

http://www.ittf.com/tournament/2773/2017/ittf-asian-championships/ Some links aren't working, the PDF ones do and you can see the results up to and including the 1/4 stage now. So tomorrow we get Niwa v Jeong and FZD v ZJK.

Also, these are the 1/4 finals.

No. I'm watching it on 5+ now.

Amazing stuff.

2-0 Miu. Fierce stuff.

Boom! What an end to the first game from Miu.

Gutted for you Carl. Deepest condolences.

What's right with roundell?

There is a type of player - and I know plenty of these myself - who are totally and utterly tied to Butterfly as a brand and won't use anything else. It seems totally insane to me, but each to their own. For this pool of fanatics (I exaggerate for effect here, obviously), Rozena could fill a...

Price / performance will be important for this one. Here in the UK the official price seems to be £42, or approx JPY5800. That's still expensive in comparison with most of the "easy to use" market, and only "cheap" in comparison with butterfly's own market-rigged tenergy price.

It's super tight out there. Could go either way. Great finish. He did just enough.

Beat me to the punch.

You can find a good link on page 2 of this thread. The women's team is on now on CCTV-5+, the men's team will be on CCTV-5 later. Here is the current CCTV-5+ link: http://chaochaolive.icntv.xyz/channel/sports/cctv-5plus

Doh. It's such a bad error that I can't even pass it off as an April Fools.

edit - you asked about Tinarc 5, but I'm going to tell you about Goldarc 5 because I'm a plank. It's made in germany by ESN, but not labelled as a tensor. I've had a sheet for a few weeks and it's an allround, high-control kind of rubber. Slower than the big ESN names like Bluefire...

Looks that way. It got added to the approved ball list in the last few weeks. I would be amazed if it was a different seamed ball.

No, the rebranded ones will likely have a different name. Stiga look to be calling theirs "Perform 40+", for example, and Donic are going with P40+.

Two things - will the price stay that low (and subquestion - will the rebranded ones be as low?), and it might take a looong time if clubs have purchased bulk loads of other balls (we got 144 seamless several years ago and still have 2/3 left). But hopefully!
