  1. Butterfly poly ball

+1, straight out of the box it has a slick surface like a 4 year old worn celluloid ball. The sound I can get used to but the greasy feel is tougher. Of the four main ball types (seamless, chinese seamed, nittaku premium, G40+), this is the one that I struggle to adapt to the most when switching.
  2. Stiga Celero Wood

Well, £30. With a bit of an errrr on postage - are you really from Aaaaaaarland?
  3. Stiga Celero Wood

And that's more of a visual thing. You were bang on the money really - it's definitely an off- blade. Good touch and feel in the short game but it gets fast with a bit more effort. I know Stiga place this below the Infinity for speed but from memory I'd say the Celero is a bit faster overall...
  4. Stiga Celero Wood

Had a few hours with it tonight, and rok was right about the stiffness - surprisingly stiff and hard for a thin-ish 5-ply with limba outers. The speed surprised me too - quite a bit faster than I'd thought.
  5. Stiga Celero Wood

Mine arrived yesterday. 89g, ST handle (Classic). The quality is OK. Handle is good, metal labels are nice. The core has a join (not a real problem - lots of manufacturers do this), and so has the top ply (about 2 inches in from one edge, on both sides of the blade (I'm not a fan of this...
  6. Tibhar Evolution EL-S and FX-S

Just that they seem to lack initial catapult, or bounciness. A feature, not a bug - but on slower, softer blades they annoy me in comparison with my usual rubbers. I would adjust given time of course, but I tried them on bouncier blades and prefer them there.
  7. Stiga Celero Wood

    It's: limba - some dark wood (possibly mahogony, walnut) - probably ayous core 5.5mm thickness 157x150 ~ 86g (tak9 shows a range of 79g-91g)
  8. Tibhar Evolution EL-S and FX-S

Yes! For me, FX-S and EL-S just lack low-end liveliness. The arc and spin is fine for my needs. I tried them on a Yasaka Goiabao recently and the additional bounce and hardness really helped. The Hypertouch has some of that bounciness too, so I bet it would be lovely. But YMMV, of course.
  9. Stiga Celero Wood

On paper, it should be less stiff than your Carbotec. I haven't used the Carbotec (and I can't find good info on how thick it is), but people do say that it's faster than a Waldner Senso Carbon, and the Celero is a 5-ply all wood, 5.5mm thickness. As a guesstimate it should be quite a bit...
  10. Stiga Celero Wood

Best to wait for some feedback from someone who has played with the blade. This is a 5.5mm thick blade with limba outers, and Stiga place it below the Infinity for speed. Rok found some very heavy examples here which could be the cause, and some information is better than none (interesting to...

Here's Pitch v Gionis; Being there was amazing - this venue is 1 mile away from where I grew up, and most of thee crowd were local players so it was a big old love-in. Seeing Gionis play up close and side-on was a real experience too. His forehand has a LOT of meat behind it.

Atmosphere is great. Good comeback from 2-0 and 2-0 down. Papa is great at putting anything loose away. Puts a lot of pressure on.

  19. England vs Greece! Live on theSPORTBible today!

Not sure. They changed the order on the electronic screen here, but maybe that was to correct a mistake.
  20. England vs Greece! Live on theSPORTBible today!

I think Drinkhall was due to play Papa next, but they shuffled the running order.
