I didn't get to watch it, but congratulations to Amy Wang for beating Anna Hursey 11-8 in the 7th. Anna Hursey is one of Europe's best young talents.

  8. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

The tables look to be pink top DHS tables. I know the Chinese and Japanese players have trained on these, but it may be an adjustment for other nations. https://x.com/i/status/1922102214245458344
  9. European Under-21 Table Tennis Championships-2025

Anna Hursey is legit! Not only because she won this tournament, but I've been watching her in the Bundesliga thanks to @backspacer 's thread. Her game is very solid. She will definitely challenge for European champion in the future.
  10. Nagasaki: "I've never liked table tennis that much to begin with..." (#1169)

Players list for WTT Contender Skopje 2025 6/9-15 is out. Odo is top seed in WS. No sign of Hirano yet. She has points expiring on 5/13 (175), 5/17 (140), 6/10 (140), 6/17 (105). She needs to do well at the WTTC or risks falling behind Kihara, Nagasaki, and maybe even Yokoi (who is top seed...
  11. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

Annett Kaufmann twisted her ankle during training camp. She's not expected to miss the WTTC, but will need to take a several days off. https://www.ndr.de/sport/Schreck-vor-Tischtennis-WM-Kaufmann-im-Training-verletzt,kurzmeldungsport14722.html
  12. Nagasaki: "I've never liked table tennis that much to begin with..." (#1169)

Happy to hear Hina's hand is continuing to get better. LA2028 is still a long way away.
  13. 1.Bundesliga Women Germany 2024/2025

Thanks. I watched some Kolbermoor vs Berlin Eastside matches. Mia and Yuka make a really strong doubles pair. Their roles are very clearly defined with Yuka setting up Mia. And a number of times their opponents are having trouble reading how much spin is coming from Yuka giving the pair...
  14. 1.Bundesliga Women Germany 2024/2025

I didn't know Yuka Kaneyoshi was in Europe. I do remember her beating Sakura Yokoi at one of the domestic tournaments. Very nice to see her get the opportunity in Europe, and looks like she's doing great with a win over Annett Kaufmann!
  15. Nagasaki: "I've never liked table tennis that much to begin with..." (#1169)

Well, I wish them all the best of luck. Hard to predict what will happen in the future when they're just 12/13 years old right now, but Miku has had some pretty good international results in the Youth category including multiple titles in the U13/U15 category. She is 2-0 H2H vs. Cocona who is...
  16. Nagasaki: "I've never liked table tennis that much to begin with..." (#1169)

I remember seeing Cocona Muramatsu play in some Youth Contender. Solid player on a great trajectory. Japan has a strong pipeline of young females in U15 including Cocona and Miku Matsushima.
  17. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

When Tim was interviewed by Evan/Sean, he mentioned availability was a big factor because in season 2 there was a time when 4 out of 6 matches they had to use free agents due to lack of availability. So I have to assume that Huang would have good availability.
  18. Koki Niwa has been referred to prosecutors

He's banned from playing in Japan, but I believe he can play overseas according to the posted articles.
  19. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

Tomo vs. Togami in 1st round. In XD, Odo/Yoshimura drew Ri/Kim of N. Korea.
