Hasn't he been consistently unstable all the time? I think he was PUAed hugely by Wang Hao. Wang Hao couldn't hide his dislike of XP no matter how hard he had tried.
I understand that hightlights do not show every aspect of the player. But his serve, receive, forehand and backhand loop are all pretty decent. His technique does not look like usatt 2200+, but not 1800- either
Using too much shoulder for power will mess up your balance and make it harder for transition. That is why you were out of position after one or two balls. Use your feet/leg for power and transition and you will feel much easier.
A little too much shoulder and elbow was fixed all the time. You will miss the ball quite often and hard to create good top spin without side spin.
Maybe too close to the table and have relatively big swings for fast incoming balls?
All these reviewers in China used special blades by WRB for reviews and I don't think the commercial version will be similar. Is Stiga waiting for WRB to become world champion to release the blade (three years from now?)
I had a Xiom ALX pro and the handle got loose and make cracking noise too. I reglued it and it seemed OK. But it got loose again and I had to reglue it with more glue this time.
I hesitate to buy any more Xiom blades now as this was one of their issues.
