  1. Tibhar Hybrid MK & Hybrid MK Pro Review: Safety vs Power, Average vs Better Durability

Very nice review Victor, I have always read good things about these two rubbers, except for the durability. I see you often mention and compare them with classic tensors like Rakza 7 and Fastarc G1 in your review, also frequently referencing the NUZN lineup as well. I think that makes sense...
  2. Hybrid rubbers with the most balanced properties

The new formulation of Xiom Vega China VM was a disappointment. I got a Rakza Z from a member of the forum I plan to try in the near future, I'm having a lot of fun with a boosted H3N 39 OS Provincial in the mean time.
  3. FS: used China Vega VM (UK only)

I meant one month used. Bought it late July.
  4. FS: used China Vega VM (UK only)

Hi, as per the title, I am selling a one month old Xiom Vega China. See the reason I am disappointed with the rubber below, photos included. Maybe my expectations were misplaced, still a good rubber. https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/xiom-vega-china-vm-review.17935/post-587007 I...
  5. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

That is correct, I see a lot of this hit-brush trend too. Tackiness is almost gone even in Chinese rubbers. I bought a 39 H3 OS Provincial this month. Tack was very mild, like almost as tacky as the K3 in this video. I am not exaggerating...
  6. Stiga Helix Hybrid XH and DNA Hybrid H Review: New Generation vs Old Generation Hybrids

Looking very much forward to the upcoming reviews. Have you tried the non-hybrid versions of these rubbers? @victormanriquey
  7. Hybrid suggestions for someone coming from H3

bear in mind the new sheets of the Xiom Vega China VM might be different to what they used to be, I bought a sheet in July and I was very dissapointed that was nothing like a boosted H3 and more like the typical hard hybrid from ESN...
  8. DHS Hurricane 3 Neo: The Complete Amateur Guide & Review

There was a recent discussion on that very topic that I found very interesting https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/modern-rubbers-are-killing-the-rotation-in-the-topspin-play.39731/ It looks like the equipment is converging towards the "new" hybrid concept of very grippy barely...
  9. DHS Hurricane 3 Neo: The Complete Amateur Guide & Review

That is very interesting. Is that the general consensus about the NR-8701 from Nitaku? What about the tackiness? about the same too? I just bought an orange sponge provincial H3N and the tackiness is much less than expected. Again, that also seems to be the general consensus that Chinese rubbers...
  10. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

worth adding Codexx and Triple Double Extra to your testing list. Looking very much forward to your Vega China review, it was one of the first hybrids that came out, it used to be a "true hybrid" as in 50-50 kind of approach, but the new formulation just pushed it to the ever-growing list of...
  11. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Exactly my thoughts when I tested the rubber. It's not a bad rubber by any means, it's just another "hard hybrid" from ESN that has nothing to do with a well boosted H3. I can still get the joola Golden tango in the UK. I'll give that a go, or rakza Z before I try the H3N
  12. Xiom Vega China VM Review

I am afraid I don't have the rest of the sponge no. I will eventually test the H3N so when I do so, I'll take a picture of this sponge after I remove it from the blade.
  13. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Amigo, I'm so eager to read your observations on this rubber, you surely are taking your time to review this one XD
  14. Xiom Vega China VM Review

This is the best I can do with my phone, that's the Helix Platinum M on the BH for reference
  15. Xiom Vega China VM Review

@doppelmoral the cover did not change, so it's imposible to tell from that alone. The protective sheet was sticky on mine as K.K pointed out, so that checks out, also tackiness is very mild. Never played with H3 before but this new version just plays like a hard tensor. I would like to read your...
  16. Xiom Vega China VM Review

It would be great if you could test the newer version and let us know what you think.
  17. Rubber arc height and length discussion

Never tested sponge thickness back to back, but thicker sponger generally is faster, doesn't necessarily affect the throw angle as much as it does the speed to be honest.
  18. Rubber arc height and length discussion

I started with Rakza 7, best middle centre balanced do-it-all rubber if you are starting. Some say it's even too fast for a beginner so I went for 1.8mm when I started. You will find your playstyle after a while, believe me you will know what you like once you develop your technique. For me it...
  19. Cheaper Rakza Z EH alternative

If you can find the old version of Xiom Vega China, the new version is barely tacky at all, it could be a similarish feel at a much lower price.
