Do you think they'll be motivated?

These youtube videos are crap quality, compared to the actual live stream. Why is that?

WHAT A THRILLER! Dima and Timo were a pure delight to watch. Surely the best match of 2014 so far. Can't wait to see it again on YouTube. Happy for Maze too.

An elite competition with just 12 players playing on two tables, with no weak match-ups, yet only table 1 is covered with a camera. Nice going, ETTU. Nice going. Gaćina played terribly, though. Lost to Mattenet in straight games too, even though, realistically, Mattenet is nowhere...

Yeah, but only from table #1. :( Lame.

WTF? How the hell did Yan An's leg heal so fast? BTW, the camera angle in the last Fan Zhendong vs Zhou Yu video is superb! This should be a broadcasting standard, not the crappy centered camera position where you can't see half of the table.

Everyone loves a Cinderella story, though. And Maze is one of the most charismatics players in the world too.

I once faced a loudmouth cadet who yelled not only "CHO!", but also "SO!", "DO!", "SHO!", "ZO!"... Shit, probably even "BO!" The whole thing felt... Embarrassing. My god, that was one of the most annoying people I met in my entire life.

LOL, you did nothing, mate. :D USAToday are the assholes ("The funniest table tennis match you'll ever see. Maybe it's the only one you'll ever see too."). And before that, the guy from Yahoo wrote: "Usually I associate professional pingpong with the famous scene from "Forrest Gump." I mean...

Jesus, what is it with all these assholes?

He was hiding in plain sight. :D

Yeah, they could at least do something about that resolution, which is pretty poor. If HD was too much to ask, then the least they could afford us is 480p. And the picture usually has this yellowish tint, they should do something about that too.

ITTF's stream quality is utter crap, as usual. :( Such a shame. I was hoping that the HQ YouTube streams used for 2013 Global Circuit Finals would become standard in 2014. Ah well, at least it's free and accessible, so we can't really complain.

LOL, Richard Prause is so old school. :D Slow spinny topspins FTW! :D

He actually BROKE the table? How?

One of my friends, who definitely isn't into table tennis (or sports in general, for that matter) just shared this video on Facebook! This is crazy! :D [FONT=Verdana] "Usually I associate professional pingpong with the famous scene from "Forrest Gump."" FUK YOU! (not you, nguy. The a$$hole...

Dude, I've BEEN in that situation. Recently, in fact. My team lost 4-3 to a weaker side, I lost both of my matches, plus the doubles. My team mates, both of them considerably less skilled than myself, really stepped up, played their best and then some. And there I was, screwing it all up...

Call me crazy, but I find Ma's forehand technique aesthetically superior to WLQ's (which is also awesome)

Not really. He took it out on a piece of equipment which isn't his property. That'a a pretty serious violation. And it was ugly. He could have just stomped the ball or something. It's what I would have done back in the juvenile days. :D

He's been out on injury for a very long time, but looks determined to make a comeback. This is definitely something all of us here are gonna follow with interest.
