According to unverified sources earlier today, FZD may not play in CTTSL after all due to his PLA affiliation (the same restructuring issue which prevented him from joining WTT Macau)...

Well, I mean I guess the literal translation is less contentious? ITTF World Professional Team (ITTF世界职业队).

Some brief updates to the Chinese TT Super League (CTTSL) this year - Two stages played: i) 21 to 26 December (all teams) & ii) 27 to 29 December (top four teams) - There will be 9 teams each on the men's and women's side - Venue is Guangzhou (no audience) - Olympics team event format will be...

Senpai: I'm as good (or bad) as CM! Cha! Seems like Senpai will make it to the SF of the National Champs next year pretty easily. 1/4: Hina Hayata, Sato Hitomi, Sakura Mori, Satsuki Odo... 2/4: Ito Mima, Nagasaki Miyu, Kato Miyu :), Saki Shibata... 3/4: Miu Hirano, Hashimoto Honoka...

Give chen xingtong a spot on the wtttc2021!!!

Who that girl in black? o_O I remember Xu Chenhao (and WYD) was LSW's informal sparring partner for a while.

Wells, I often struggle to pronounce Europe (歐洲) and Australia (澳洲) in Cantonese, although I'm not good at the language. That aside, the lucky5 format for the top 4 seeds was so... anticlimactic. I think even LSW could have participated in her current state. It felt like the Chinese women were...

https://www.ittf.com/2020/11/24/rule-changes-wtt-macao/ Gogo, DN! Newfound hope for the Queen of Hearts despite the Chinese netizens' sneering.

Fukuhara only played for real at 3:36 Lol

Out of curiosity, is Minnie Soo still on the team? She seems ostensibly missing after the whole debacle about her 'allegiances', which must have put her in an impossible position considering the number of Chinese coaches and players in HK. She was also absent from the handover show, I mean...

An unverified source says that it is due to the disbandment of the PLA/Bayi competitive sports faction. But since it has yet to be fully effected, FZD and LJK are not allowed to participate in commercial events. National Champs, MWC and ITTF Finals do not fall under such a category...

@driversbeat LSW is not playing. She said on her weibo that she is only joining the team to train with them. Oops. The dangling continues... OTOH, unverified sources say that FZD and LJK are denied entry to Macau (??) because of their military men identities (But Jeoung is there!).

Oh, that explains why ZYL is not getting any chances. Her role has been overtaken by CM. Poor thing XD Seems like a new gen of LXX/LSW/DN trio is in the making. Markings of a Confucian society – seniority = business class.

Possibly true for the men, but capping each association to four players has surely prevented many Chinese women from playing. Then of course going by WR instead of WT standings affects match technicalities like seeding and draws etc. but that's unimportant for now (or ever). The last updated...

ML: Move aside, I'm 6x. Still a little perplexed by why the ITTF officials still insist on stacking the wins this year with previous wins when this is clearly not the same WTGF. Wells, I guess they wanna restart the events on a 'high' note by churning out all these new 'records'.

I see liu shiwen! OTOH, WMY is really Xiao Zhan's disciple ha ~

WMY received well, gave high quality shots. Ito had few advantages in terms of serves and receives, and went a little out of control at times.

WYD: Whew, at least I didn't get a 0 in the end despite trailing 0-7 for two/three sets.
