  1. Best all wood blade?

In my view Nittaku Acoustic. Less expensive 5ply, Korbel Japan or Nittaku Latika are very similar. Next fantastic option Xiom Fuga or Diva, both discontinued but if you can find one, you might be positively surprised. I have Fuga and blade finish and handle is at least on par with Bty and Nittaku.
  2. Xiom new collection (2026)

Spin factory has it for 79 Euro, I believe. I also find Xiom handle/blade of exceptional quality, even comparing to Nittaku and Btfy. Trying hard not to buy Solo.
  3. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

It certainly could be the technique. As said, played just a few times/few sets with mate who is better than me (it is his setup) and it felt to me rather not forgiving when positioning is off/when I was late. Could not swing some half assed shot with decent quality. To me that was close to China...
  4. [Equipment Guide] Best First Intermediate Table Tennis Rubbers in 2026: A Comprehensive List & Analysis

Glayzer 09c is very good. Of course, it is subjective but for me it works. I scratch my head when I hear/read it is not fast enough for advanced beginner/intermediate… i would also suggest Nittaku Factive for beg/advanced beginner and intermediate. Rozena in my view is not exactly beginner...
  5. Why are dignics09C considered not suitable for beginners/intermediate players ?

Not much experience with Dignics but those few times I played with it it does require that you are quite fit, so to speak. Same case is with Hurricanes of all sorts. I prefer harder rubbers but it is not for everyone. When I restarted this hobby after many years, I played with Rozena. For me...
  6. Offtopic - Music gear

Yep, small pedalboard and low wattage amp happy days. But it seems everything is too loud for venues these days and we have to live with mfx to the front of the house. Ut to tell You the truth after so many years I realized almost noone cares, people just want to have fun, and tonex, neural, l6...
  7. Most consistent BH rubber for opening up the game

Yes, they are certainly more forgiving. My humble 2 cents... Contrary to popular opinion Rozena is not a slow rubber. For some reason it is considered as a beginners rubber and in my experience I strongly disagree. On BH I could maybe live with it. I admit I do not like bounce and prefer...
  8. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Would Friendship Battle 2 National blue sponge (38) pair well with Xiom Fuga and/or Nittaku Latika?
  9. Offtopic - Music gear

57's are great pair for an SG. Even LP sounds killer with 57. I always favored LP until I realized my favorite Gibby is ES335. Brownface probably just need some quick love from someone that can check and if needed fix the internals. Yep, old 100w and 4x12 are these days way too much. Sold...
  10. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

Good thread. Yes, I believe many of us bought gear that that we may utilize properly down the road with continuous training, but not in the first couple of years. I guess there are talents out there that can develop very fast but from what I see, way too many people with material way beyond...
  11. Offtopic - Music gear

That is a great combo mate. Brownface has that „something“. Went down that route many decades ago, many guitars and amps came and left, now have a decent collection that work for me and my taste. Certainly my skills on the guitar are light years better than my table tennis skills. If I would...
  12. Feedback on my League games

This is very true, NRW has gazillion players and this might have some influence on less generous ttr (or stronger depending on anyone’s view).
  13. Just restarting the table tennis journey and wanted to say hi!

Well, after first training, I can say I enjoyed. Yes, there was a number shameful wtf balls flying but hey also many more of decent ones. Not an EJ type but for those that care, Rozena seem more fast than spin rubber, but still not a canon. As said, aside from the occasional blunder which is...
  14. best tt shoe?

Importance of right footwear can not be overstated. In my view it is the single most important thing. In my case it is not easy, I am Euro 47.5 size and it is truly hard to find something that fits (many brands go from 47 to 49 and those with 48 for some reason feel like 47) without looking like...
  15. I suck at this sport, please help me.

I see the opposite and a very decent base built. Of course, it depends what you expect/compare your self with…. As long as you enjoy it, it will improve. I am certain with coaching after additional year, you will post another much more positive/self confident thread.
  16. Butterfly 2025 New Blades: Outer Force ALC, CAF, ZLC

So, when are these coming to the Euro market?
  17. Just restarting the table tennis journey and wanted to say hi!

Thanks plunder, much appreciated. Will check on the news. At this stage, just want to get back into it. It was a long break and honestly there is a long road ahead but gladly update on QTTR once back in some decent groove.
  18. Just restarting the table tennis journey and wanted to say hi!

Hi all, i just decided to start with tt again after 30+ years. Loved it until age of 15, used to train in the club for two and a half years, but then other things took over. Anyway, had a few games some weeks ago and discovered still like it and even rusty as I am, I still have some decent feel...
