  1. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Exactly my thoughts when I tested the rubber. It's not a bad rubber by any means, it's just another "hard hybrid" from ESN that has nothing to do with a well boosted H3. I can still get the joola Golden tango in the UK. I'll give that a go, or rakza Z before I try the H3N
  2. Xiom Vega China VM Review

I am afraid I don't have the rest of the sponge no. I will eventually test the H3N so when I do so, I'll take a picture of this sponge after I remove it from the blade.
  3. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Amigo, I'm so eager to read your observations on this rubber, you surely are taking your time to review this one XD
  4. Xiom Vega China VM Review

This is the best I can do with my phone, that's the Helix Platinum M on the BH for reference
  5. Xiom Vega China VM Review

@doppelmoral the cover did not change, so it's imposible to tell from that alone. The protective sheet was sticky on mine as K.K pointed out, so that checks out, also tackiness is very mild. Never played with H3 before but this new version just plays like a hard tensor. I would like to read your...
  6. Xiom Vega China VM Review

It would be great if you could test the newer version and let us know what you think.
  7. Rubber arc height and length discussion

Never tested sponge thickness back to back, but thicker sponger generally is faster, doesn't necessarily affect the throw angle as much as it does the speed to be honest.
  8. Rubber arc height and length discussion

I started with Rakza 7, best middle centre balanced do-it-all rubber if you are starting. Some say it's even too fast for a beginner so I went for 1.8mm when I started. You will find your playstyle after a while, believe me you will know what you like once you develop your technique. For me it...
  9. Cheaper Rakza Z EH alternative

If you can find the old version of Xiom Vega China, the new version is barely tacky at all, it could be a similarish feel at a much lower price.
  10. Xiom Vega China VM Review

I found that interesting as well, because the rubber I got is basically a hard tensor, barely tacky at all. I bought it just a couple of weeks back and the protective sheet was sticky as KK described. What I wonder is whether they can change the formulation of a rubber and still keep the same code
  11. Stiga Helix Platinum ( Any review )

That's high praise for any rubber, I never tried any tenergy before but I like Helix Platinum M on my BH very much. Easy to lift back spin, create spin, if you accelerate, the speed is decent, it does it all well and the arc is high which is my preference too.
  12. Xiom Vega China VM Review

That explains it then. Mine came with a sticky protective sheet indeed, and the sponge is dense but porous. I like it a lot, but I was expecting much more tack; it's almost nonexistent. did the rubber code change when the formula changed? Or is that not necessary? I guess the only actual...
  13. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Well, I decided to give Xiom Vega China a try since @victormanriquey is taking too long for his more professional review XD. I've always wanted to try this old but "purer" concept of hybrid. It's very cheap for today's standard, plus it was on discount, so it was an easy purchase (that's the lie...
  14. Donic BlueGrip C2 Review: An Unexpected Budget Alternative to Butterfly Dignics 09c

I'm also waiting for the Vega China review! How's does the C2 compare to rakza Z?
  15. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Interesting that most of those rubbers are now discontinued. I wonder why that's the case if I only read positive reviews about the Sieger PK50, K2, and the Golden Tango. Is the "new" hybrid generation actually better? I play NUZN and I wouldn't even call it a hybrid in the first place. Just...
  16. Any European rubbers that can replace Hurricane?

Interesting, then the codex 52 is the same as the tango PS?
  17. Alternative to Dignics 09C

    What about its throw angle?
  18. softest tacky rubber

Sosfest tacky rubber in 2026? Rakza Z?
  19. Yasaka Rakza Z Review: Still a good hybrid rubber in 2026?

Looking forward to your impressions on Nuzn 48 and Vega China. I haven't tried many rubbers, to be fair. Every time I've changed it's because it's a present. I started with a premade Palio many moons ago, then Rakza 7 on both sides of a YSE was my very first custom. Then G1/C1, then Omega 8...
  20. Yasaka Rakza Z Review: Still a good hybrid rubber in 2026?

Yeah I meant Rakza Z. I have never used chinese rubbers and the only "hybrid" that I have used in the Nuzn 48, which to be honest it's just a tensor IMO. @victormanriquey what would be easier to use / adapt coming from tensors? Rakza Z or Vega China?
