  1. Looking for a backhand-punch rubber

If you want to focus purely on BH punch-style attacks, I'd also suggest short pips rubber. I play with Yinhe Uranus Pro and it is a really good rubber for BH punching. Linear and fast.
  2. Post your latest EJ purchase

I bought Stuor 1-ply Hinoki (at least it says so) from Aliexpress for 35 EUR along with Yinhe Moon Mid-hard on BH and Double Fish Volant Phoenix 39 degrees on FH. So far it plays well, although compared to my 729 Blue ALC feeling is strange xD.
  3. Rubber help

You want to replace R47 with Tenergy, which has the same sponge hardness :p I'd recommend some rubbers without that much catapult so it does not bounce off racket as fast. I'd recommend some chinese rubbers, like Yinhe Moon Mid-hard. Cheap, slower than both rubbers mentioned in original post and...
  4. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Played about 9 matches at my club on Friday evening with 3 different people, each time alternating between my inverted rubber racket, my SP racket and my LP racket. Lot of fun and managed to win 2 matches with my LP and SP :D . Feeling a lot better with controlling the LP close to table for...
  5. Suggestions for Genuine Budget Carbon Blades (ALC/ZLC Alternatives)?

729 Blue ALC (outer) or 729 Yellow ALC (inner), depending on which you prefer :). About 20 USD on Aliexpress, I own 2 of each and use both. Really good feeling.

Just so we end this argument, thank you for the debate and showing me your point of view :)
  7. NextLevel's Thoughts on Table Tennis: I like to write about Table Tennis

Yes. As in any other sport :p If you are winning by 2-3 points, then sure, that would be a 'lesser' type of loss since it is close and 2 point lead in modern table tennis is not THAT much. Losing a set you were winning 10-7 or 10-8 would be probably attributed as momentary lapse of...
  8. NextLevel's Thoughts on Table Tennis: I like to write about Table Tennis

Same way I think that Wang Liqin which I mentioned aboive in my first post on this thread is underrated and even forgotten when talking about GOAT of table tennis. He IS the only player to win both the 11-point and 21-point system World Table Tennis Championship singles titles : 2001 (21-point...
  9. NextLevel's Thoughts on Table Tennis: I like to write about Table Tennis

Table tennis... IS unrecognizable, even compared to 90's, for example. Different amount of points each set, different amount of serves before changing, you could hide your serves which was a tactic on its own, different types of rubbers, glue, balls.... Hence my point of taking into account...
  10. NextLevel's Thoughts on Table Tennis: I like to write about Table Tennis

In my opinion, just like in other sports, context of era for specific candidates matter. Just like with basketball, volleyball, etc. If someone older would say Viktor Barna and just show me this : Then without knowing what was different about rules, equipment, etc. I think many people WOULD...
  11. Equipment & tips for new chopper

I started my journey with chopping (just for fun, although I am getting better at it) with the following : Loki Kirin K2 (5 ply all-wood) for about ~8 USD on Aliexpress Yinhe Neptune 0.7 mm LP ~about 9 USD on Aliexpress Yinhe Mercury 2 Mid-Hard ~ about 7 USD on Aliexpress Pretty controllable...
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

So... Since I bought several different types of Chinese rubbers on Ali : long pimples, medium pimples, short pimples, inverted sticky ones, etc. along with spare 729 Friendship Yellow ALC blades, I decided "Why not to use them ?" So, I decided to add another 2 rackets to my arsenal, making them...
  13. Best all wood blade?

They are discontinued, sadly but I would strongly recommend searching for any Stiga Azalea (either Allround or Offensive) blades :) . Have played with both of them and I can say they have a great feeling, especially when combined with medium hard rubbers. Azalea Offensive for me is really good...

  15. My $1000+ setup, my opinions on Golden Viscaria + Zyre 03 2.7mm

Considering my own racket (in total) cost me about 190 PLN or appr. 52 dollars....you made me feel even poorer than I already am xD. Congratulations on getting it, hope you are having fun playing it. I wonder how this thinner topsheet + thicker sponge on Zyre compares to similar thing Andro did...
  16. Suggestions for Genuine Budget Carbon Blades (ALC/ZLC Alternatives)?

I am not knowledgable about that stuff to comment (never owned Long 5 or many ALC blades) but from what I've experienced so far, it is not too stuff and not too flexible. Comparing Blue to Yellow, Yellow is slower, more controllable while Blue is faster. Blue is really good even when far from...

  18. Suggestions for Genuine Budget Carbon Blades (ALC/ZLC Alternatives)?

729 Friendship BLUE ALC (Outer-type) or 729 Friendship YELLOW ALC (Inner-type) Using both with mostly Yinhe/DF rubbers and they are really good. Both really cheap too. Paid about 20 USD for each.
