It's not clear but seeing that they hold multiple patents for sneaker soles, it's possible they have developed and manufactured these models themselves.

For some reason I like Anta clothes more than Lining or Nike etc... somehow they have better fabrics. And great prices and discounts in China.

They have all the money in the world so I hope they will develop and make good rubbers and not just hobby gear.

Anta actually came into prominence when it made a gamble and signed on KLH ahead of Sydney 2000 and has made a tradition to sign on Grand Slam winners like ZJK, ML and now FZD.

Anta make some really great shoes, really want to see their take on TT shoes, even if i don't really like the TT shoes as a whole. I prefer badminton and basketball type of footwear to play, they are just more supportive and stable, but a lot of times heavier, but i don't find it to be a big problem, balance is more important

Anta probably just going to focus on hobby range.

Pro Table tennis rubbers is a loss making business.
For Anta focusing on Pro TT, that is like a step backwards.
They could easily buy out a Pro TT brand if they want to focus on this market

Anta also entered the badminton racket and shuttlecock market at the start of 2025 that have long been dominated by Yonex and Victor. The price of shuttlecock has skyrocketed since 2023 due to a shortage of duck and goose.

Source on this?

There are probably more, but these should be sufficient...

I meant source on him "breaking up with Butterfly"

I would imagine that the Butterfly and Anta sponsorships would coexist

I don't think Butterfly gives too much crap about their clothing line, so probably they can accept FZD in Anta gear displayed in malls.

We also don't know how BTY and Anta are related. Could have the same major shareholders, could have some joint venture coming, could be that BTY subcontracts Anta for their clothing so this is like a favor for Anta. Probably we could specualte more but like who cares. FZD wore Anta in olympics anyway... I kinda wish Anta would release their olympic gears without the Chinese flag. That stuff is really nice.

I see, well, I haven't heard or read that FZD and Butterfly are splitting up. Personally I don't think that a break up is imminent. Butterfly provides him with blades and bh rubbers, and that's pretty much it I guess. His blades are quite popular, aren't they?
FZD signing with Anda is somewhat similar as if Boll would sign a deal with, let's say The North Face, Quicksilver or Under Armour, though to be fair, their (FZD and Boll) respective contracts with Butterfly are likely to be very different. But sponsorships of that kind can coexist, because in these cases there is not really too much interference (specific contracts will do the "rest")...
Butterfly = pro equipment
Anda, Under Armour etc. = "casual" stuff

That’s not true though because Under Armour don’t sell pro tt rubbers. If the previous post in this thread is accurate and Anta has listed 5 rubbers for ittf approval on the LARC list then that creates a bit of a different landscape from Butterfly’s perspective surely

Sure, I get what you are saying. The comparison was perhaps not 100% ideal.
Technically, Anta (when they release these rubbers) and Butterfly will be "competitors", at least on paper. However, I'm going with @Tony's Table Tennis on that Anta will focus on hobby stuff regarding tt for the time being.
Very unlikely that FZD will be playing with any Anta rubbers (or blade - not sure if they are planing in that direction -) as long as he is a competitive player and that Butterfly will be seeing these products as serious competiton. I just don't see too much of an issue there, like contractwise.

I guess we will see when the rubber actually comes out, and also if Anta try and use FZD’s image to promote it
