Right now im using japanese and german rubbers with adhesive rubber protection. But i was told it created humidity and making the rubber losing grip to the ball. Right now im not feeling anything strange with my rubbers. I also mailed pingsunday and was told that it is partially true and it clarification. So is that thing is true and can i use non-adhesive rubber ptrotection on my rubbers.Pls let me know. thanks

I used to use the sticky films to protect my rubbers but i found that those films got dirty on the sticky part. i didn't want them getting my rubber dirty. so i switched to the non-adhesive protective film. they work well. i put the sheets on both sides then inside a quart size ziplock bag. rubber stays clean.

says I like to put heavy topspin on the ball

Maybe its a brand thing? I have been using Nittaku brand sticky sheets for years and years and have always been able to wash them. Gotta wipe them off with your fingers under the stream of tap water until it feels smooth, then let dry on a rack

I do the same and I have 4 sheets that are 2+ years old and perfectly serviceable...

Sorry but how can non adhesive protection stick to non sticky rubber or it stick naturally?
After every session I clean my rubbers with a cleaning agent. This dries very fast, much faster than ordinary water. When all liquid has evaporated there is still a microfilm left on the rubber. This makes the sheet stick.
Then I push on the sheet from inside to the outside. This makes a small underpressure and viola your sheet is stuck to the rubber. Don’t remove it until next session…

That's weird, I've used both the sticky sheet that comes with the D09c as well as Yasaka's sticky protection sheets, both wash just fine under water. My issue is that they all curl up over time, literally ending up in a roll like a massively boosted rubber, so that the edges would no longer stick to the rubber.

So what do you mean by no go? Does the dirt not wash off? Have you tried warm water? How long do you wash it for?

Nope once it’s stuck it stays.
