Hi all, I am a returning local league player who has had quite a long break who used to use Stiga Power LT on my forehand and felt this suited my particular game (on a stiga tube offensive blade with Chop & drive on my backhand). However, now that I’m about to return to the table, I need to replace the stiga power LT rubber - as it is no longer on the market- but I’m unsure on what rubber I should go for? Generally, I like to play close to the table and push and block with the capability to loop down the line or drive through the ball when it comes up.
Any suggestions for a similar type forehand rubber that has great control would be much appreciated.

Go for a more linear rubber then, as Stiga Power LT seems to be a non tensor rubber, from what I seen...?
Check out these for something quite similar in performance.

729 - Focus III Snipe
729 - Aurora Max
729 - Dragon L
Yinhe - Moon Speed 53
729 - Presto Max Spin/Speed

Nitakku Fastarc G1, the modern tensor rubber that behavea ol'skool. Tensor but not so tensor...a good compromise for people from the old era.

I can still find it in a few places, but it does make sense to change to something that's still actively produced I guess.
The alternatives depend on what you want from it.

If you want to play a non tensor rubber, there's still Mark V, or Sriver, and I believe Xiom produces something like that as well but I lost the name.

As for tensor, something with control and ability to smack a popup ball, first thing coming to mind is Aurus. Very versatile, accessible intro to tensors with loads of control.

Depending on how long ago you stopped playing, the game has changed with the introduction of the 40+ plastic ball. A rubber similar to what you were using before will probably not be suitable anymore and you may want to explore the current style of rubbers. If you want control go with harder hybrid rubbers for your forehand. An inexpensive one you can try that I like is Loki Arthur China which you can get for less than $20 on aliexpress.
