Both same hardware, unique but similar software...both work great, I've had both.
I like the Power pong app over the Amicus app, but the Amicus has the serve wait function which gives it the nod for me.
I've repaired a few over that last 2 years, always easy fixes, replacing parts is not difficult and sponge rollers are available. get one for under £1000 and you got a good buy

I got frustrated with how buggy the official Butterfly Amicus app is, so I reverse engineered it (with a lot of help from AI) and built my own version.

So far I've cloned the features of the Android app and fixed its bugs. Next I want to improve the UX, so let me know if you have ideas!

It's a web app, so it runs in any browser: Android, iPhone/iPad (with the free Bluefy browser), Windows, Mac and Linux. There's nothing to install. It also reads and writes the same .amicusgame files as the official app.

- Use it directly: https://amicus.vaneyghen.be
- Code and full BLE protocol: https://github.com/roelvan/amicus-ble

If you want your own version, give the repo to your AI assistant and use it as a starting point. Feedback and bug reports are welcome!
