What about yasaka mark V and rakza 7 rubber ?
Mark V is a very very old rubber with extremely outdated rubber technology. So I would not recommend it.

Rakza 7 is a very fine rubber and it would be great for you as well, but it's just much more expensive than AK47. So if you don't mind spending more, than it would be a great choice as well.

If this is Your first paddle, You are a beginner. Then You have the totally wrong equipment. You will probably get nowhere with this. Primorac carbon with Tenergy 05. This is the fastest of the fast and the worst of all possible equipment for a beginner. Get an 5-ply all wood blade (i.e all wood Primorac, Stiga allround or Donic Appelgren allplay). Equip it with Mark V on both sides. After a year upgrade the rubber to Rakza 7 and after another Year evaluate where You stand.

Cheers

The other member said that Mark V is too old and not to get it because the technology that was used on a rubber is also 30 years old. It’s difficult to choose without trying them out

That's a hunk of horseshit. Mark V is the best non tacky beginners rubber that exist. It has a sponge with extremely small pores. This makes the bounce low and long lasting. It has a grippy topsheet so You will be able to generate spin. Whoever says this about Mark V does not know what they are talking about. The one negative thing that could truly be said is that it is expensive..., But in reality it last up to twice as long as the next competitor...

The same thing goes for those why says all wood blades shall not be used...
With a slow 5-ply wood blade You get the entire spectrum just by selecting the right rubber. There is nothing better for an beginner up to intermediate player.

Jesus christ, the person who gave the gift is crazy. It's like asking for shoes for walking but ending up being given a ticket on a one way rocket to mars.

Sanwei Accumulator S (5ply wood) and perhaps Palio AK47 Blue or 729 Focus III Snipe. Or a bit more grippy/tacky 729 Cross general, LOKI Rxton 1 or Sanwei UltraSpin. Sanwei T88-III 2-pack is a really cheap solution as well. Good control and good grip.

Stiga Allround Classic with Stiga DNA Future on both sides. Learn the basics (12 months), change rubbers after 6 months and buy DNA Future again. If you after a year have got the basics and learned to open up underspinn then it´s time for Rakza 7 on the same blade on both sides. Have fun!
