I make Australian hand made table tennis blades and I have been on a mission to make a blade using mostly Australian timbers, that's an off to off- and creates a good amount of spin and feeling? Was wondering if anyone might know of any blade makers that I could get in touch with. I have so far made some blades with 4-6.5 mm balsa core with the combination of walnut outer layer and a softer Australian timber as the medial, this combination makes it great for blocking and looping close to the table, but not for attacking far back from the table. Also in the above photo I have used Australian red cedar- core (700 lbf), New guinea rose wood - Medial, Indian rose wood (2440 lbf)- outer layer.
