How is the Andro Cross Step 2 when it comes to sizing? True-to-size, or on the smaller or bigger side?
I would say true to size, but no two feet are the same...

As a small hint maybe, I bought Asics in UK 11 before and now it´s UK 11 for the Andro.

Is there a table tennis shoe that fits like a normal sneaker. Every tt shoe that I have tried is long and narrow.
Mizuno has come out with a Wave Medal 7 Wide model.

My current asics are still in alright condition, but I did roll my ankle recently though I'm unsure if that was due to the shoe specifically. One shoe I am personally very interested in is the new Dynafeather which has much more cushioning compared most tt shoes.

I have to give the best of props to Speed Art/Sanwei as their Fireflash shoe is amazing.

It looks sick, it feels sick and it performs sick. Before I kept two shoes in my bag, one for wood floor and one for PVC floor. Now I don't need that at all since this shoe works on both and it works amazingly. The grip is outstanding, honestly second to none. Take Mizuno, Butterfly, Asics, they are not even in the same dimension.
The only shoe that is in the same dimension is the Yonex Aureus Z copy from Kawasaki (maybe the original too) but I think even that doesn't match the grip.

This Sanwei/Speed Art shoe has the best grip ever, a hard boost foam midsole, has a carbon plate, it is lightweight, and had BOA lace. I have never seen a more modern shoe for table tennis ever and it is lovely.
But still it's by far, non contested feature is it's sole grip in every situation. This feature alone would make it the best table tennis shoe.
Is this durable even in concrete floors? The sole of my mizunos lasted only 6 months..

In addition to TT I also play badminton, and did so before restarting my TT career. Since I already hade indoor (=badminton) shoes, I naturally use them during my TT sessions aswell.

My question is, in what ways do TT specific shoes differ compared to other indoor shoes, developed for badminton, hand ball, volley ball, floor ball etc?

One of my club mates said the main difference is that TT shoes have stickier soles compared to other indoor shoes. True?
TT shoes have thinner and more flexible sole. Closer to the ground so to speak. Less cushion and support. Grip should be a about the same.

Yes tt shoes need to have thinner sole and more flexible to be closer to the ground. Is it because the ideal tt court is taraflex? Or rubber flooring? So,.what about for people playing on concretes? If I use thin tt shoes and flexible soles,.it fades after 6 months.. what are the alternatives? I read some comments that it is needed to have cushioning if playing in concrete so that will not hurt the knees.

A matter of taste and knees I think. I like thinnest sole possible shoes but others seem to want more cushion.

I doubt that. The rubber is rather soft so I wouldn't try it on concrete. Also on concrete I'd probably get something with more cushion like badminton shoes.

I'm using the Yonex Aerus Z 2, which are very close to the Nittaku x Yonex ones and they're the best shoes for table tennis that I've used. The Yonex Aerus Z 2 are very light, has low profile just like table tennis shoes, but with way better support thanks to the carbon fiber midsoles. I switched from the Mizuno Wave Drive 9, if that matters.

I am currently using the mizuno wave drive 9 but they don’t offer enough support for my knees or feet, so I’m looking for something with more support and cushion. Considering li ning wcq, Mizuno wave medal 8 or butterfly lezpline at the moment

I have tried Butterfly (horrible sizing and fit), Mizuno (same-do they make Butterfly shoes?),Euro brands like Stiga and Tibhar fit too long but tight.
I am looking for a shoe with some cushioning that fits like a normal sneaker.
Any suggestions?

My tips is Andro Cross Step 2. True to size and comfy.

After being held up in customs for a month, my Nittaku Movingaero just arrived. I'm a size 9 (in sneakers) and ordered a 27.0 and they fit perfectly. I have slightly wide feet as well so I had been buying 27.5 from Mizuno and Asics. I will play with them tomorrow and give my impressions after.

It is on the expensive side of the shoes category, but price not always tell the truth. I trust Nittaku & Yonex for their quality but I expect your thoughts and opinion after 2-3 weeks.
