Blade with low throw

Hiya

Which blade have the lowest throw when driving or blocking? I think Koto blades have mid or low throw but I wanted to get some good advice from the forum members.

l'm a TB penholder and I've been using the DHS Hurricane King (5ply wood) with short pips for 4 years. My blade is degrading and a new Hurricane King is really hard to get. I could order at the Forward Store on AliExpress but it's my least favorite store because their communication is nonexistent.

So does anyone know some mid hard to hard blades with low throw? What about the Ma Lin blades from Yasaka?

Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive is great for short pips -- allows for hard flat hitting while also giving some element of control if you have a soft touch. My alternative setup is a Ma Lin EO with 802-40 on one side and Skyline 2 on the other side. Pretty low throw. Yasaka Goiabao and Stiga Rosewood V and Stiga Ebenholz V are other good options with similar structure.

Ma Lin Extra Special is much stiffer than Ma Lin EO. Very hard to control with short pips in my opinion. I would stay away from 7-ply unless your control is very good.

The standard short pips penhold blade is the Clipper, as I'm sure you know. Clipper is much softer (but very stiff) and I think it works best with non-grippy pips like Victas Spectol.

Blade absolutely matters. Usually stiffer blades have lower throw angle. My 968s have a higher throw angle than my Vis which has a higher throw angle than my Yinhe T11 (7+mm balsa outer carbon).

Very roughly put:
More flex gives more time to propel the ball upwards
Softer outside material gives more time to propel the ball upwards

968 is softer and flexible
Vis is harder but still flexible
T11 is stiff

Yes, you're correct about that. I'll get a DHS H301 instead of the ACB.
