Just curious to see what your opinions are on boosting method. Most of the ones I come across online require waiting period of like a day or two before applying a second layer, and then more waiting until the rubber domes.
However, recently speaking to a fairly well known coach in my city, he said all this waiting until the rubber domes isn't necessary. He said this practice was carried from speed glue era where rubbers immediately domed after speed glue application, and now people think the rubber needs to dome before gluing it on the blade.
He said you can simply apply a layer of booster on a brand new rubber, wait about 15 min until the booster dries and clears, then you can glue the rubber to the blade as you would normally do. If you want two layers, you can just apply another layer after 15 min and then wait another 15 min before gluing.
His point is that the waiting can happen after the rubber is attached to the blade. If you start playing immediately afterwards, the initial response may not be as noticeable, but after a day (or even after several hours), you will feel the boost coming alive.
He's mainly talking about Falco Tempo Long booster if it matters to the discussion.
Curious to hear all your thoughts.
