In general, weight and balance play an important role, corresponding to the preferences of the player. A lighter blade balanced extremely towards the head can feel heavier than a weil balanced heavy blade, and of course an 80 gr ALC will feel different to a 90 gr ALC.

3 grams however should not matter much, unless you are very sensitive in that respect.

My guess is that mechanically speaking in terms of momentum and energy transfer, few grams do not matter much. However few more grams in the same volume of wood is likely changing density and mechanical response of the material. That for saying few grams do not matter much but depending on the equipment the way this feels can very likely change. An example is a Stiga Clipper Wood, 85g is one thing, 90g is an actual blade worth the name and the brand.
