Chopping and chop-block it's different styles. With blades op listed impossible to chop but blocking close to table OK. But again OP said he wants to chop. He didn't say something about blocking close to table

Neither you nor anyone else can block or chop-block close to the table power topspin with the blades he mentioned using long pips.

Of course it is possible to chop far away from the table with a fast carbon blade. Is it optimal; no! Especially not for the OP, who has not chopped before and wants to try it out. My guess is that OP will not have much fun and then give up on the experiment quickly. Chop-blocking with LP or flat/chop-blocking with anti, on carbon blade, could be a fun experiment though.

For a chopping experiment I would recommend just buying a cheap allround wood blade, put some LP on and see if you like it. Reusing the carbon blades for this experiment is just going to be frustrating.

Long pips by nature are to
It doesn't proof its impossible. Its personal preferences. If you planing to be world champion then you are right
If a world champion runner-up isn't enough for you I give it up....

Personal preferences can be, isn't the best kind of blade to play defensive to be competitive my opinion is no. Playing amateur no tournaments you can use what ever you want.

Is he doesn't use carbon because it's hard or he just likes all wood feel? Of course if he will come to forum and say it's impossible to block with lp ox with carbon blade I won't argue.
There is high level player in Canada who use lp ox on w968

I said to chop or chop-block close to the table returning power topspin in matches.

Of course could exist a person using carbon why not, but for sure will do better without carbon or fibers using LP close to the table because will play more consistency when using the LP, it all depends the kind and skills of player: for example if he/she uses the LP to receive and twiddle the racket he/she isn't using a lot LP so his style not be affected but if he/she plays close to the table no twiddle will be affected.

Strategy is very different for a defensive close to the table than a defensive far to the table but for both styles you need consistency because is an important key to win matches.
