I'm always perplexed at how many people get called for flash during a match in China. Do these people not know how to turn off their flash? Are they that rude and inconsiderate to not care? If they're doing it on purpose they should be kick out of the stadium immediately.

To be fair, Felix was saved by the flash at China Smash 2025. Take the bad with the good.

Shocking behaviour!! Cheering opponents mistakes is such bad etiquette!!! If fans can't behave then make it no cheering during play!! The treatment of the European players in the Ryder Cup by the American fan was shocking and the worst culprit were evicted!!! The same should happen in table tennis, we want good atmosphere but not at the expense of good etiquette!!!

It's not the same thing to make a cheeky, naughty(?) joke after an event (the "good(?)", compared to disrupting an active event ("the bad(?)"). This is not "taking the bad with the good" it's jokes versus harassment.
Both are toxic in a way, but active harassment is quite a different level.

Sure, annoying behaviour like using flash can work in either people's favour by chance and timing, but in the end it's the players, all of them, that are getting disturbed while focusing on doing their ultra competitive job. There's no bad with good there, just a spectator doing what they shouldn't be doing.

table tennis has long been a sport that has strong sportsmanship between players, and watched by spectators with strong morals and manners.

some people feel a need to change it or to lower the standards, and this is what is wrong with society today.
