Again: I also understand why the manufacturers chose to change the recipe to adapt to the bigger heavier ball and my point is that they undertook these changes using the same wording in their advertising , the same name and also the same ITTF number. In short for our money we now get a completely different rubber and this is what is not right.

Because spin is not as important anymore in the current format. Nothing ever stays the same, even the tried and true Viscaria changed over the years for a new market demographic. Much like the hurricane, you should adapt to the new meta. If you truly want super tacky rubbers I suggest you try the provincial/national blue sponge big dipper or the rxton 9 national

I am not upset at all it is simply a matter of principle. I also still got a nice stock of H3 and H3 neo , the old supersticky version. It has really nothing to do with my feelings.

It's more like if you order chicken and get rabbit instead.

I get your point, I and many club players in my country wondered the same thing. If only they name the latest H3 to something like "H3 Power" it would clear all debates. And keep the super sticky ones as H3.

But that would ruin the H3 brand name I guess, they want it to be the No1 rubber despite the playstyle changes

I went with Battle 2 Provincial Blue Sponge 38. So far I'm impressed with my forehand loops and drives. When hitting consistent, the people that I usually play with have not been able to return my forehand loop kills. The only thing that I have an issue with is that the topsheet is not as tacky as I want it to be after a few months of use. The commercial H3N that I have from 10 years ago is still very very tacky; a lot more than this provincial B2. Is it normal for provincial to be less tacky? How does the national B2 topsheet tackiness compare to the provincial?

Friend, I use battle 2 pbs 40°, and it is true that it isn't that tacky, national is 0.25 more tacky, but even more controlled. Although beware because sometimes you can hit the ball with a part of the rubber that you dont use, or brush too fast, therefore double hit, and THAT tackiness might be enough...(food for thought)it was kind of a bummer tho, realizing these rubbers weren't as tacky as bloom power(idk b2 regular) but i love them, very controlled, low arc, spinny af..

DHS doesn't want to change the forumula because only few is using it.
