cleaning and maintaining a rubber

Normally after i play or before i play, i do one spray of tackifier each side and spread and wait for it to dry. Now im planning to buy some things to maintain my rubbers, and i need suggestions for best cleaner/tackifier sprays in there. In my forehand im going to put a Glayzer 09c and there's not a lot of tackiness in there. Secondly, if i should use adhesive or non adhesive films. Hope anyone can help answer this. Thankyou

I use distilled water and a yellow butterfly cleaning sponge for 99% of the time. Maybe once every 2-3 weeks I use a branded TT rubber cleaner. I have a bottle of tibar grip right now, but when that runs out i'll probably buy the DHS cleaner. but really- all you need is water if you clean your rubber after each playing session.

For storage, i use non-adhesive rubber cover (DHS from aliexpress) and then i put inside of a quart sized ziplock bag.

I use the sheets you can buy and put on the rubber. The reason for this is that i THINK it helps. Just because rubbers do dry out eventually.

I have also heard from more than a few people that these rubber cleaners and mixtures we spray on the rubbers are not actually good for them and might result in them having a shorter lifespan. Just use your breath and the palm of your hand or a few drops of water on a piece of paper.

Use rubber cleaner when its needed, which is only sometimes.

All the best 😎
