I would like to have you advice since it's high time to replace our club tables coz most of them have a lot of wear. We're between two minds about this OEM by Decathlon (the blue surface plays different than the slicky black one) and this other from Sponeta. The one by Decathlon seems sturdier but I'm quite skeptical about the board durability. On the contrary, the other from Sponeta it might seem a bit more flimsy but having an integrated net makes a difference for lazybones...

What's your take about this?

Decathlon website is not functioning!! So I couldn’t compare to the Sponeta table.
I have a Sponeta table, the S6-12i which I believe is one model below the S7’s. I bought this table for home use - in my garage. It’s a very sturdy table, supplied with a really good quality net. Sponeta is a very good manufacturer of table tennis tables and probably make tables for other manufacturers as well. I think Sponeta would be a good choice.

Hi. My school purchased some Decathlon Tables. Here is my comparison to other tables-an old Double Fish table and a DHS table.

All of them bounce quite ok, but the decathlon surface feels the roughest and cheapest made. It is quite playable and good for practice, you don’t really feel much. Also, the built in net is really nice so that it doesn’t get chewed up by the net clamp.

Overall, I think it is quite ok, but of the 2 other tables I tried, this was the worst. But; I appreciate its ease of use for folding and storage.

Do note that the leg support is rather flimsy. Our school bought 12 tables, and 8 is already bent by students not taking care of it. I had to reserve two tables to only be used for our play. My school’s Head of Department for Physical Education had to approach me to bend back the leg supports and reassemble the tables, and realignment of the legs.

Which Decathlon table are you referring to? I mean to top end one, for club practice/league.

BTW, the black one sucks! The ball skids like a ballerina making unstable. Moreover, board covering coat on black one is lame since it's already is chipped.

Sponeta S7 model seems same as Stiga Expert roller.

Sorry for asking, but why are you considering only these two brands?
They are not cheap enough to justify buying a table from a non-specialized table tennis brand.

As you are a table tennis club, my suggestion is buy a table from a well known table tennis manufacturer.
For example, Donic Waldner Classic 25 is an excellent choice and only 50€ more expensive than Sponeta.
And I'm sure that if you buy more than one table, you will be given a serious discount.

Joola World Cup 25-S is around the same price range and also a reliable brand. I wonder if is the same as any top models

The Sponeta you showed is more or less the same as the Cornilleau 540, we've got plenty of those in my club, with also 640 and 740 tables. We let the kids/noobs play on the 540s, 640s are for more advanced/competition players, and the two 740s are mainly used by the our top level players playing in our 1st team. We've got 8 teams for seniors and 3 for the youth. 16 tables always installed, and maybe 5 or 6 more in the shed as backups.

Thoses 540s tables are ok, we've got them since a while now.

For sure the Joola is a much safer choice than Sponeta or Decathlon. I haven't played the Joola model you state, but I guess it must on par with other table tennis brands.
I've played though many times on Donic Waldner Classic 25 that I suggested in my earlier post and I can assure you that it's a great table. The bounce of the ball on it is amazing.

We also have one 740 which is a top notch bulky table, but price tag is way costlier than W 25-S
