Custom heterogenous blade?!?!?!

Hey everyone! My friend, @zhzhzhz, is in the process of making a heterogenous blade by shaving off the top ply of his T11s blade! He will notify us of his progress in this thread, so look out!

After this is done, the blade will be a 4+2 ply, one side being an outer and the other a super outer.

Stay tuned for the testing and review!

Thanks for posting abt it for me!

So i had a bit of a problem with my t11s when I removed my old rubbers from it. I had not really paid attention to the racket and ended up peeling a lot of wood from it. After that I tried to fix the damage by using short pops cus i thought it wasnt that bad even though half the side was missing a decent chunk of wood.

Thankfully only the top must layer had been peeled out so I just used a box cutter to peel off the remaining wood. The top layer was decently thin so I don't think it would make much difference.
The direction of the wood grains are horizontal instead of vertical so I applied 3 layers of stiga's surfazer lacquer to seal the blade to make up for the upper layer being absent.

TLDRT: Blade broke - Put pips - Pips made it weird - Got bored and removed the whole layer - Applied sealer to replace top layer.

The other side has also peeled off a bit at the top so I might remove the other side too.
This is not my main blade so I'm open for any experiment ideas also the blade is cs.

Very interesting. I got a brand new Kokutaku 9 layer hinoki blade which was as stiff as a brick. I "clipped it's wings" and it is now playable but still not much fun. Wonder what method there is, other than my pocket knife, to cleanly remove the top layer an both sides ????????????????
