DHS Hurricane 8-80 on the forehand.

Hey everyone. I was wondering if there's anyone on here that plays with the DHS hurricane 8-80 on the Forehand. How is it? What degree did you get? I play with the Butterfly Petr Korbel with C1 on forehand and G1 on Backhand (G1 feels better on my backhand then C1 does. I don't think i like soft/medium bh rubbers). I was thinking of switching to the 8-80 instead of the C1 on the forehand so i can get some of the spin of a tacky rubber while keeping it around the same degree hardness (not quite H3 level of spin, but good enough), as well as it being easier to use compared to the H3N. I heard 8-80 doesn't forgive you if you flat hit so i think it would be great for me to learn how to topspin/loop correctly with it. Also, its slower yet spinnier than C1 (I'm assuming), so i can learn more of a control spinny game then eventually move into putting more power into it. What are yalls thoughts?

Why not G1 on the forehand? I ran G1 fh G1 bh for over a year and loved it. Spinnier than C1 and more linear (as I'm sure you know) so great for nailing down your loop/topspin game. Only changed because I got Tenergy for my birthday but still miss it sometimes!

I just cant get the most out of G1 for some reason. Atleast not right now. I keep shooting it out long and cant seem to get that much spin from it. I know its a technique issue but i just dont really like it personally (and i know, it sounds like: cant land a shot = not liking a rubber lol). Also, right now i depend on my backhand more and since G1 feels better on the bh then C1, ive been hitting with C1 on the Fh. I did use G1 on the FH most of the time before i flipped my bat around.

I was thinking of switching to 8-80 instead of C1 because C1 puts all my flat hits on the table, which doesn't help when I'm trying not to flat hit (it sounds weird but i need a rubber that isn't forgiving for that type of thing so i can drill it into my mind to do proper technique rather than flat hit). So if i can get a rubber with something close to the hardness as C1 but doesn't reward flat hits than that would be ideal. 8-80 seemed to be a rubber that is capable of what i want in a FH rubber right now and it being tacky is a bonus. (i might be really wrong and yapping my head off right now).

when i restarted playing some years ago i was struggling to find good rubbers, then i started using 8-80 on both sides and it really helped me to develop a lot. if you have access to the provincial version i would get a 39° degree for the FH.
