There are few choices:
1) D09c 1.9mm is a fine idea.
2) If you want more control, then a well boosted provincial blue sponge 39 degree Hurricane 3 is the logical choice. The throw angle will be lower than D09c though. Hurricane is like an acquired taste. Either you love it or you hate it. If you want something a bit cheaper, then Loki Rxton 9 blue sponge is a fine choice too!
3) D09c throw angle is pretty high already. The only one that pops into my head is Yasaka Rakza Z. Rakza Z has very tacky top sheet. The throw angle is very high. Rakza Z will be slower than D09c which might give you more control.
4) Do not get Glayzer 09c. I think there are people who love the Glayzer series on the forum but there are also a lot of people (including me) who just don't like the Glayzer series. I think for the price that Butterfly charges for Glayzer series, there are a lot better and cheaper alternative Chinese (i.e. Hurricane) or ESN (i.e. Rakza Z) options.
someone who struggles with d09c control will struggle more with h3n. It's just too hard to activate the sponge with it. If you only loop with the topsheet they both don't differ much at all but that's a different technique. I just learned that recently and now also understand why people say go H3N if you have a coach.
G09c is the "slower" version of D09c. by slower I mean like 5-10%. Spin depends on your technique obviously but in terms of speed. So I would actually recommend it more than H3N.
I honestly don't prefer to go for a thinner sponge. And instead go for a different rubber max. Thinner sponge bottoms out sooner and it will force you to make "slower" shots since only those will land on the table. Because the sponge compresses less you can't generate as much spin to make the shot land back on the table on faster strokes.
Unless you just started out and after 2years or so go for max rubber thickness all the time. Control the speed by choosing appropriate racket for your level not by going down on the rubber thickness. Thats why I downgraded myself now especially the blade and slightly softer rubbers.
