Hard to say because I think it’s more just a personal feeling and not huge difference… on viscaria, D80 gave me more safety and ease of use compared to D05, angle worked well for me particularly on backhand for blocks and opens. Thought I liked it on htsalc for a bit but realized ball was shooting lower/straighter so I either had to take speed off backhand open to get arc down or close more but it doesn’t have as much grab as 05. Could play good, low trajectory shots but less safety for clipping net or going out when compared to 05 on htsalc. The inner carbon tamed 05 a bit compared to how I felt it was on viscaria (wasn’t as easy for me to play). The little more arc and shorter trajectory makes 05 easier on backhand of htsalc for me, forehand had pros/cons to them. 80 is good for drive/block/redirect and 05 is better forward open/counter. Just my thoughts. I really liked switching from 05 to 80 on viscaria and was more indifferent between two on htsalc but would pick 05 both sides rather than combo or both 80.
That's exactly my feeling regarding D80 in any blade and more pronounced on the HTSALC. I guess, to me and my style of play, D05 is the better rubber. Albeit i think T19 is a pretty good compromise between Tenergy and Dignics and pairs beautifuly with both Harimotos (ALC and SALC).
