Does a table in this place make sense?

My venue is 570cm long.

570cm - 274cm (table length) = about 300cm
300/2 = 150cm - that's how much space a player has on one side.

The width of the venue is 300cm to the box (the wall dividing the employee's station). I could possibly shorten this wall and it would be wider by about 50-60cm, but I'd rather not make a mess.

Will this amount of space be good?

As you can see from the photos, I would have to demolish one wall next to my main desk.

I wonder if the whole undertaking makes sense at all and is it worth the effort?

Actually, I will sometimes play with my son (if he wants to play at all, he doesn't play yet), and most of the time I would train alone with the robot.
That's what I'm assuming, but I don't know what will come of it.

I train 3 times a week for 1.5 hours. Maybe I should stop there?
I'm 39. I've only just started playing and I've caught the bug, although I've been struggling with injuries and haven't played for a month now. So I don't really know how long I'll be using it.

I think it'll be OK to play with my son, but half a distance would be impossible. However, I could train with the robot myself without a problem. Am I right?
Would you do it if you were me if you fell in love with table tennis?
Having your own table is a dream come true.

I think you have it spot on.
At 1.5 metres from the table it will be good for robot practice and games with your son but you are out of room for much more than that, especially at the sides where you feel the wall close to you.
If you're gonna do it I reckon take all the space you can, if it's really not too much work, it be worth it during gameplay.
There'll be a lot of enjoyment anyway with robot practice and family games!
