Does booster bottle lose properties like shampoo over time?

Im asking for opinions or experiences with booster not curling rubbers over time. It always worked, but last 2 times the curl effect doesn't appear, which makes me think booster (haifu national yellow) has lost some properties with time (it might have 2 years, but always good sealed)


Also there is a possibility rubber is not curling because the sponges are different? They are both porous blue sponge. One phoenix voalant BS and a national H3 BS non neo.

Booster has a shelf life. My seamoon lost most it's potency around the 8 month mark, and completely after a year.

While I'm certain that booster, like pretty much everything, loses it's effectiveness or potency over time, I've had Falco Long booster for many years and it still curls rubbers.

Now to be clear, I'm not really looking for an aggressive boosting. I don't like fighting rubbers wanting to curl up from the edges after gluing them. I just use it to mainly slightly curl & more so soften up a pinch Chinese Tacky rubbers which tend to have sponges a bit on the firm side. I'll boost it once to start and then likely leave it like that on the blade even well past the boosting effect period.

Falco has a different composition than Haifu, which could be helpful in getting better shelf life. Makes sense if the effects last longer too
