Hi, urrently I have on victas balsa 4.5 (good blade) Dignicss 09c fh and tibhar mkfx on bh.
I am interested in Z3 in view of making easy topspin on short backspin pushes, because maybe I need a bit longer contact point to make topspin easier.
Anyone tried it? how it conpares in speed in catapult efect and returning spiny serves with donic M3, tibhar MK FX and Dignics 09c?
Any other info?

I've played bluestorm z3 for years now.

It's fast with a bunch of catapult, good rotation, low responsiveness and low throw. It doesn't lift backspin well because it has almost no dwell, it shoots the ball very fast and doesn't stay on there at all. It doesn't grip the ball well and needs a lot of wrist to play strong topspin, it's an all or nothing rubber.

Because of its nature it does really well with receive, blocking, countering, punching and on the table play. When you play back you need to open the racket and brush a lot to get a high arc. You have to really brush heavily the ball to lift topspin and put power into it.

If you want something to lift backspin and grip the ball easily check the hexer powergrip sfx. Bluefire m3 is old technology and doesn't have the grip or character of newer rubbers.

My memory of the Z series is the speed. If it's anything it is its ability to launch the 40+mm ball at Mach 2.5 towards your opponent. Btw, Z3 > M3 in terms of speed. It is because it has thin top sheet but thicker sponge, hence extreme trampoline effect. It is fast! To me, it was awesome for active block & driving. You are the type who uses angle and speed to win your game, then the Z series is for you.
