Hi guys,

My team mate wants the Butterfly Kreanga PowerKev Carbon OFF blade but it's not something we are able to find anywhere!

Can someone tell me what would be the closest blade currently available on the market to replace this blade please?

Thank you!

If you can find the construction parameters it would easier. It looks like it could be a hinoki top layer. Measure the thickness and maybe Nittaku or Darker has a similar construction.

Why do you think it is a Hinoki top layer, without it being named anywhere as such? Hinoki is a prized wood in the construction of TT blades, I imagine any manufacterer would want to advertise its use...

That said, the only compositions I can find online (I don't have any personal experience with said blade) speak of inner composite layer (Kevlar-Carbon, which is the same as what many others advertise as Aramid-Carbon) with a Koto outer layer.
There are a few blades using this general structure, such as the 301 series from DHS or the Sanwei 75 Inner (among others). If the Butterfly blade is on the thinner side, I would suggest your teammate to try a regular DHS 301, if it is thicker maybe a 301X or 301T would be more appropriate...
Another possibility is for your teammate to have a custom blade maker make a replica of it, but this would probaby take some time.

This says Koto. And 5.6 mm thick.
Kevlar is hard so maybe start with butterfly Tamca 5000 blades,

Mmmh, no? Kevlar is a commercial name for aramid fibre... and in the Kreanga Powerkev Carbo blade it appears to be woven with Carbon fibre, which would be similar to what DHS (or many other brands) use in their own blades...
