Hi all,
As the title says, I'm looking for help/advice on euro/jap rubbers.
Bit of a backstory: Using XIOM Offensive S with Palio cj8000 (36-38) both sides, and I'm quite happy with that setup.
Sometimes I can hit shots that I was just dreaming of a year ago. So after EJ-ing and trying different setups on a weekly basis, I've found that during an AliExpress quick ordering spree I also bought a pair of the mentioned CJ8000. So I gave them a go and put them on a blade that I recently bought and tested. With the Battle 2 Soft, it was still quite fast for my liking. Then I tried Loki Kirin K5 with Mercury 2, that was not bad, but kinda slow and inconsistent. With the Palio rubbers and XIOM Off S, it's working great, but.....
And here it is. The but. But the spin is nowhere near the battle 2 or Mercury 2 I was used to. Sure I can generate a decent amount, but it's difficult and not always possible (skill issue).
I was lurking and peeking again at revspin and aliexpress, if there's something similar to CJ8000 but maybe a tiny bit faster and two tiny bits more spinier.
Main targets are : Tin Arc 3, Gold Arc 3, CJ8000 provincial, Donic Baracuda (always wanted to give it a go, but now looking more in the cheaper categories), possibly 729-08 Pro, etc.

Do anyone of you great fellas here know a rubber that is semi-tacky, without tensor and spring sponge and stuff like that, that has a decent speed and good spin, medium-high arc?
I have the feeling that the CJ8000 I'm using, that the balls have more of a flat trajectory. They can be fast enough to put my opponent under pressure, but it's harder to attack if I need a fast topspin ball that should land at the end of the table.

Am I trying to find a unicorn here, that does not exist? I know that it's always a trade. I want spin, I need to offer something. But I highly doubt that there's no rubber that is a tiny step better at everything than an 9 EUR/sheet rubber.

Any help and advice is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Get some Johnson's baby oil and boost your Mercury 2 or get and boost CJ8000 39-41/40-42, preferably both sponge and topsheet (36-38 was almost too soft for attacking play even with celluloid ball).

Cheap Chinese rubbers can play ok but usually require tuning for better speed, spin and feeling. Even more than that, this may be the optimal match for what you want (not too fast, not too spin-sensitive, etc.)

No fancy booster needed in this case, as both M2 and CJ8000 react well to paraffin oil/baby oil, and you are not after top speed anyway.

I bought a pair of T88-iii for a friend's beginner racket and was really impressed with the speed and spin on a 5-ply blade (Sanwei Fextra 5) when I tested it. It isn't really tacky but it grabs the ball pretty well. And a two-pack (1 red and 1 black) on Ali is dirt cheap. You could also try Palio AK47 Yellow or Blue (42-44° and 38-40° respectively).
