How a table tennis rubber looks after cleaning (compared to before)

Did a follow-up set of photos after cleaning the same rubber from the earlier post.

This time, you can clearly see how the surface looks without as much dust as earlier- the middle area still shows wear, but the texture is more even and the small dust spots are lesser.

Is that even genuine D09C? How in the world did it get so crusty. Do you play in a salt mine? Whatever that rubber is, it's done and needs to be replaced.

My coach had one in this state on his BH (he didn't use it) and it had no grip on the Grey parts
