NEVER too later for a small area... if there is a number One and OP is Number Two, he or she could always hire the services of Tanya Harding Consulting LLC... and after she finishes her work, dude would be number One for at least three or four months... and if the timing of the job is right, it is good enough to get dude in the door for the big one.
yeah, by bad, also I don't like 'limiting' ppl. Updated as disadvantaged.

I have coached an indian junior player, so I am probably qualified to answer here.

if you started at 13, then there is no ways you can make the indian national team. the indian team is very strong.
try changing nationalities to a weaker table tennis country.

if you stay in india, what must you do?
1) join a table tennis academy, there are hundreds if not thousands of them. You should know where to look or who to ask. If you don't know, then you not in the professional group.
2) once you join, see if you can actually get in. If you are not strong enough, they probably won't want you. Here they train 6 to 7 hours a day, 6 days a week.
3) once you can cope with 2, now know, if you not top 1 or 2 in the academy in your age group, you will struggle, because there are hundreds to thousands of academy in across india. how do you know if you are good? represent your club to play state tournaments
4) then if you are good in state tournaments, you will represent your state to play national tournaments
5) and only then, you might have a spot low down the indian junior team, and you need to work your way up.

You probably need to move to China, Japan or Taiwan and train fully time to try and catch up.
But the odds are low, because Indian level is very high.
I always wondered how do they fit in gym hours in if they play 6h tabletennis daily? Full body workouts I mean or is that included?

separate

I don't have the indepth hours breakdown of Indian academies, but for Taiwan:
so there is normally 20 mins warm up or so, 15 min cool down x 2 for both seasons
maybe 30 mins of physicals/gym every day or second day.
30 mins of running every 2nd day
the 6 hours is on the table only.

the actually "working hours" is closer towards 8

And also can you tell me how can I upload my video here.

Can anyone help Advay with how to upload video to TTDaily. I always load video to YouTube and then share here. Are there other ways to load video so people can view on TTDaily? Or should Advay upload his footage to YouTube and then post the link to the video in a thread?

In India taking sport as career is not considered good for our future. I am not that good player .But I know that if I go down the professional route I will cause some real damage to my competition. There are alot of problems like to convince my parents ,where should I start playing professionally and from which coach should I learn?
I want to know everything regarding mental and physical table tennis, physical fitness and I am ready to do everything. Just give me chance and I will be honoured if someone can call me regarding this

Please help 🙏
Hey, ive got some different advice for you.You could definitely TRY to go pro.Even if you don't make it I think you might at least get a decent national or a state level ranking.even so, you could make money off of table tennis.Try becoming a coach.
India is the most populous country in the world and as sports keep growing so do the number of players.I don't know how much money you can make from becoming a table tennis coach in India but in the US and other european countries its good money.Think about it

No . A lot of enthusiastic kids want to take sports as their career but their parents do not want them to take sports.
DISCLAIMER : I don't post any more in this forum for reasons some of the admins know. I thought I will make an exception since Der_Echte tagged me and Carl has been trying his best to give your good counsel.

My experience with youth sports : I was a state prospect in Cricket in Bengal in the early 90s , started learning when I was 6-7 years old with my father who was a professional player in his day . I played in serious tournaments at the age of 13, started playing for my district when I was 14 and was a member of the West Bengal Under -16 Open State Championship winning team. This was the pre-IPL days so opportunities were limited and politics and nepotism was high but probably not as bad as now since there is more money in the game.

I had dreams of playing international level but my parents asked me to focus on my studies , I have done fairly well in my career since, considering I have survived a 20+ years of working for IT companies mainly in the US .
Looking back, I agree with the choice my parents made for me even though at the time it was frustrating. I was playing well enough to be considered a serious prospect but already my career was damaged from politics and nepotism so even though I was not ready to accept I subconsciously knew that my parents were making the right decision.

My table tennis experience : after a few years in US I decided that I could pursue table tennis as a serious hobby and have been playing in amateur tournaments off and on in the past 10 + years. I love table tennis, and play it every day.

Carl and others have given you a lot of sage and sane advice, I thought for a change I will just share my story . You can and should make your own choices one way or the other.

my father who was a professional player in his day .

my parents asked me to focus on my studies
this sums up most sports
father has been there and done that, and probably doesn't wish the kids to follow the same footstep
in your case, you had a professional giving opinion, so it wasn't just a parent deciding for you.

this kid needs serious career day advice by professionals. but he is maybe half his life too late already.

even if he is a the best, or ends up to be the best, there is still the political and nepotism hurdle to overcome. This is something most kids will never understand until they are way older.
