i dont think chinese rubbers do most people any favours

H3 is usually the only chinese rubber you may see a decent player using. The other chinese rubbers are rarer, and you may typically see beginners using them--to negate the rebound and put the ball on the table.

And you are probably a physical beast or a "simpler" player if you're able to play something like Battle 2 Gold without a booster. For me, it's a true "brick" of a rubber that demands remarkable physicality to be an aggressive attacker.
B2 (at least prov. blue sponge) is quite easy to play without booster and easy to hit through in comparison to unboosted H3 BS. No need to be physical beast.

This thread isn't going anywhere anyway 🤷‍♂️
One can play badly with $150 CNT Dignics 09c or very good with cheap boosted Chinese rubber. All comes down to personal skill.

I personally just enjoy playing with H3/TG2/B2 on the FH, the feeling of boosted rubber and all body connection to release the power is just uncomparable to something like T05.

I think part of the confusion is that the term "H3" is simply too imprecise. When we say Xuperman-X, Rxton 9, DFVP, Battle 2 (well, B2 is also not precise enough) it is pretty specific already...

Anyway, cca 3 weeks ago I finished my Xuperman-X rubber. I quite liked it, esp. initially (as always), and I can play with it, but I prefer H3 BS prov and Rxton 9 a bit. At the end it turned gray, I guess it was too long, 3 cycles - last was off-season to finish it. Just like the Rxton 9 I have now. Anyway the top-sheet of the Rxton 9 is a bit softer than XP-X, as you say elastic, you may like it. A friend has H3 BS nat and the top-sheet also definitely is softer, more elastic, than XP-X (that's why I say H3 is not specific enough). But it doesn't matter, we play with what we like to play...
My experience with both of this rubbers was completelt different. I only played with nat/player edition BS H3 and all of them had harder topsheet than all my xupermans. I had only one Rxton 9 and it was such a bad rubber. My copy was trully hard like a brick. Just unplayable aithout booster.

So the reason that i also like XP-X is production quality. I have 5 of them in different hardneses, pro and commercial versions. And they are extremely stable and close to each other. Hurricanes are just pure casino when we talk about quality of production even for nat/player editions. I had 2 good copies and 2 extremely bad. And i don't even want to talk about Loki QA. So my experience is extremely different from yours. Maybe i'm really unlucky, but I don't want to buy rubbers with such a bad quality control.

Absolutely! They're different kinds of magic.

Tenergy feels like god mode, it's almost cheating how easy it is to create high spin balls with that trademark snapping sound.

Hurricane 3 is like you drive a Sim racer without any assists on. You can feel every single mistake and lose precious power from them. But when you synchronize the steering, brakes and throttle the rewards are insane.

I see... Yes, it can be... I just happened to have all Rxton 9s basically exactly same, I think cca 5 pieces of H40,5 and 1 piece of H39... None of them was bad. Perhaps it's because I took them from the same aliexpress-shop.

And actually D09C (I had only 1, black) has harder top-sheet than all these rubbers I mentioned before. And I prefer all of them to D09C very much... (speaking about FH rubbers)

As I said, we all play with what we like to play... That's OK... However I still have this dummy tendency to save the world when someone expresses different view about rubbers than mine... But I feel it's fading ;-)

Nope, the feel is not fading, it indicates that you are growing. (y) 😁

CNT 09c has topsheet hardness close to boosted Hurricane compared to commercial version 09c. CNT 09c is my favourite backhand rubber, but commercial is also great. Semi-tackiness, low catapult on brush, but really strong catapult on hard hits, stable throw angle, it's just pure bliss. But for forehand i would take Hurricane even though i don't like it much compared to some other chinese rubbers over 09c, tacky for forehand are just more intutive for me. But only good copies, two of my Hurricanes had pretty much zero tack and i can't play with them at all
