Illegal serves solution: why not make BH serve mandatory?

I thought about this. The illegal serve debate never really ends and for umpires that is very hard to judge.

Wouldn't mandatory BH serves resolve that issue? With BH serve it is very hard to block vision at contact and it would be much easier to judge for umpires.

Sure it would require some re learning but I guess players could adjust to that quickly and it could end the illegal serve debates.

To enforce BH serves I would just make the rule that at contact with the ball no part of the upper body can be closer to the net than ball and bat (you could do that on the FH side too if you want but it probably isn't very efficient)

The one sensible thing to do would be to dump a bunch of the serve rules,.
Start with all that are impossible to enforce...

or implement the Virtual Assisted Referee system aka Hawk-Eye in major games.

I guess the visual element is only part of the story. Pros can read the spin from the arc and trajectory of the bounce. In the 1990s, winning a point from service isn't common 10min into a match when players are used to each other's service.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but this suggestion keeps being resurrected every few months. And every time the original suggestor forgets that not all players use a shakehand grip.
