Is there a big difference between Boll Spirit Vs Boll ALC

Hi was just wondering if there is a big difference between the Boll Spirit and Boll ALC.

Would be good to know from someone who has tried both and what they preferred.

I think there is very little difference if at all. I tried both, but probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Been a while since I hit with either but I think the biggest difference is that the TBALC has a considerably larger handle, and feels more balanced with heavier rubbers.

I don’t remember the TB ALC having the thicker handle at all.

I have both the TB Spirit blade and TB ALC. I can't tell them apart. The heads and handles are the same size. They play the same too.

My 20 years old spirit feels softer than 2 year alc. Alc is lighter on average (as far as I remember when I bought spirit, it was said that average blade is 90,when I bought alc, average was 85). But generally they are quite similar, Just wish I had havier alc, then I have now

Dude don't listen to the scrubs above, they are not at the level to give advice. i think we should have a rating flag for members so people can judge on who is giving sound advice and who is clueless. There's a huge difference between timoboll alc and timoboll spirit. I've used both extensively in the past. Timoboll alc is alot more crisp, faster, and you can feel a little bit of flex while the timoboll spirit is stiffer and lacks top end gear.Although the wood and carbon composition is the same, how they were put together and treated are different and it's BTY secret. Don't let that fool you into thinking all Koto, ALC, Limba, Kiri, Limba, ALC, Koto are the same because they are not. I've tried many Viscarias and it's consistently softer than the many timoboll alc i tried. Japanese craftsmanship are world renown their products are very consistent.
