Why do we have this insanity during matches in the US where players have to call lets during points or accept the point being played out? Let's almost always disturb you the more advanced you get as a player as you are sensitive to tracking all the balls in your sensory/perceptory range. And since tou try to absorb yourself in the play and usually the umpire is supposed to call the lets, it is interesting that players take the position that if you didn't call it, it wasn't a let.

We should go to the position that either player can make a let call if the ball came into the court at any point during the point and that the player doesn't have to stop play, he just has to show awareness that a ball showed up. It os also unfortunately annoying to play TT in circumstances where tracking another ball in your point of view during a point you are playing occurs often due to the placement of the tables.

Going forward, at these teams tournaments, I will propose an liberal let policy before the match starts especially at large team tournaments. Not a fan of asking the player to focus on the point and make let.calls at the same time.

IS or US?

US: This is why pickleball was born - a better and combined version of tennis, table tennis and badminton.

This is where the validity and responsibility of umpires comes into question.
i can understand amateur tournaments don't have proper umpires - some times even the players need to act as umpires or rather score keepers.

It is just how it is, the rules must change and if it is so called "sanctioned" tournaments, then proper umpires need to be in place and do the job fully.
