ITTF-Americas Cup San Francisco 2026 (also known under the title of the main sponsor as ITTF-Americas Cup San Francisco 2026 Presented by Mongo DB) is an annual table tennis tournament for countries of North and South America. The event is organised by USA Table Tennis (the non-profit national governing body for table tennis in the United States) under the authority of ITTF AMERICAS and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). The tournament will take place in Burlingame, California, USA, from 28 January to 1 February 2026 and will feature Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles events.
The total prize money amounts to USD 20,000.
The winners, finalists and semifinalists in each event will qualify for the ITTF Men’s and Women’s Singles World Cups 2026.
Qualification for the Tournament
Players in both the men’s and women’s events were selected according to the following system:
- Winner and finalist of the 2025 ITTF Pan American Cup;
- Winner and finalist of the 2025 South American Championships;
- Winner and finalist of the 2025 Central American Championships;
- Winner and finalist of the 2025 Caribbean Championships;
- Winner of the 2025 North American Championships;
- Host nation representative (1);
- Two (2) highest-ranked players in the Pan American Ranking, Week 43 of 2025.
All players must be eligible to represent their national association in accordance with ITTF Handbook regulations 3.8 and 4.3.5 (eligibility for world-level events).
Seeding shall be based on the latest available ITTF World Ranking.
Playing system:
The ITTF-Americas Cup San Francisco 2026 will consist of two stages: the preliminary stage from 28 to 29 January 2026, followed by the main draw from 30 January to 1 February 2026.
The event will be played in two events: Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles.
- Preliminary stage
- The preliminary stage will be played in a knock-out system.
- Any player from Pan America may register for the event through their national association using the ITTF EMS.
- All matches will be played best of five games.
- Players reaching the semifinals (four (4) players) will qualify for the main draw of the ITTF-Americas San Francisco 2026.
- Players at this stage may play more than three matches per day if necessary.
- Main Draw
- A total of four (4) players will be invited through the qualification pathway.
- The main draw will be played in straight knock-out format.
- The first round will consist of 12 invited players plus the four players qualified from the preliminary stage.
- Players qualifying for the main draw through the preliminary stage will be seeded positions 13–16 according to the ITTF World Ranking (Week 5).
- All matches will be played best of seven games.
- Draw procedures
- Seeding and draw will be conducted based on the latest Table Tennis World Ranking, Week 5 (27 January 2026).
- Each continent is given the opportunity to qualify players through a Continental Cup.
- The winner, finalist and semifinalists of the Continental Cups of Africa, the Americas, Asia, Oceania and Europe qualify — a total of twenty (20) players.
- An additional twenty-four (24) players will be selected from the World Ranking.
- If the host association already has a qualified player, additional place(s) will be allocated through the World Ranking.
- The latest available ITTF World Ranking at the date of publication of the initial invitations will be used to determine the qualified players (Week 8 — 17 February 2026).
