I had kokutaku rubber and it was pretty good boosted. Good grip, surprising speed. I beat a 1950 player with a $4 kokutaku rubber.
Lol, imagine spending 300~400€ on a racket, thinking you're good, only to get your ass handed to you by a guy with a 20€ racket😂😂😂

Honestly racket plays a relatively small part. I like using these $4 rubbers as a form of weighted training.

Practice a lot with $4 rubber, and then when you switch to the good stuff you feel much stronger

I think these rubbers are very light, and the blade might be a keeper, I'll see when I get them. Will probably get some mercury 2 now that I have the chance😂

I can confirm, they're not worth it. Funny thing is that they played alright, slow but stable. On the look for another hinoki carbon. But yeah, refund time...

I put YINHE Moon 12 on mine, and felt better/more stable than Stiga Pure with the same rubber. Not same speed or power, but easier to spin and land shots on the table. Thanks for your update - know now that I won’t be able to change the rubber. But in a year I have outgrown it anyway. But the handle is so beautiful - maybe I can put this on another blade!

Good luck with that.

Still not sealing the blades Yiannis?
Funny thing, I had sealed this one... One side came off perfectly too. Probably factory defect or something because it had splinters from the moment I got it, idk...

It's a lot slower than I thought it would be, I'll probably get the xvt hinoki alc. It should be quite a bit faster, and I don't know for yours, but mine felt extremely hollow when hitting.

if the blade is not extremely smooth before sealing it and you can feel wooden fibers with your fingers then you need to sand it with very fine (600 or more) grit paper. You need to get rid of these fibers and then seal it.

Now that you say it, that side had a lot of spinters, I did sand it lightly before I sealed it, but yeah, this is unacceptable. This was an out of spec wood sheet 100%, cypress doesn't splinter that easy.

In such case you may need to sand it then seal it, let it dry for a day, the remain "fibers" that pop-up from the blade surface will be hardened (so sanding will help you remove these easier), then sand it again and re-seal it and let it for a day. Then use a less fine (like 300-400 grit paper) to sand it very lightly so the glue sticks to the surface. use a good polyurethane sealer. I use Revolution No9 sealer.

I'll do that with the new blade for sure.
Thanks for the link.

the same blade configuration, 5 hinoki / 2 carbon can be had for half the price . These kind of blades wont do anything for anybody that a 15 dollar blade won't do. Thinking Sanwei T5000

It was 30€, I don't know if I'd dare to go any cheaper. And even that at that price got destroyed. So I won't be making that mistake again.

DESTROYED ????? 😂
Well, it sure as hell did not destroyed itself.

you have already been teased by tzifos re sealing so i don't need to bother 😁

Also to think that if you pay more you get better might work sometimes but not always.
I also own good quality blades but have started a phase buying and playing with cheaper blades and the kind of quality that one can get for a tenner is really quite amazing. I played with this blade first time last night at the club and it plays as good as an expensive blade and the craftsmanship is excellent . All that for 13 euros, postage included

I'm saying that because only 1 side got torn, the other is pristine. So that tells me that the processing of that wood was poor. That, and the fact that it had splinters on the surface when I bought it, but didn't pay it attention.
