i know But Im trying to find blade with softer Outer layers . Because when i atack i feel i lack a little bit of time on my backhand .stick with your viscaria. its better than both of them.
i don't understand.. you attack but you do not have enough time? and you want a bit slower blade.i know But Im trying to find blade with softer Outer layers . Because when i atack i feel i lack a little bit of time on my backhand .
Maybe technique problem and not equipment?i know But Im trying to find blade with softer Outer layers . Because when i atack i feel i lack a little bit of time on my backhand .
Yea exactly . Even lot of pros use blades with softer Outer wood like Dimitrij Ovtcharov , Harimoto . He also said that he needs a bit softer Outer wood so he have more dwell time that he can put his own power . Also I need softer outer wood so I be more confident in my game because when the matches are intense than I get nervous and I don’t believe much in my equipment so than I can’t even get in my strong game . That’s why I need blade with softer outer layer that I be more confident in my game and can put a lot of my power into itKorbel is a medium fast all wood blade. Very controlled and decent speed. But if you are looking for a blade with which you can kill the ball look elsewhere.
I, myself, had the viscaria and currently own the innerforce layer zlc blade and it's one of my favorites from butterfly alongside the Freitas Alc. Both of these blades give you more dwell time on the backhand and have a softer feeling in general. When comparing these two with the viscaria they gave me a sense of security in hitting which I lacked playing the viscaria. Basically they are more forgiving, offer a longer dwell-time and teach you to hit through the ball more so than the vis. Don't listen to what the guys said lol + the innerforce zlc has the nicest feeling for backhand I've experienced in all of my time playing table tennis. So I'd recommend you go with the innerforce zlc. Btw don't get baited by marketing and fall for buying the Franziska version for instance. It plays A LOT worse than the regular innerforce zlc.
You play the Viscaria when you are able to handle it. Not because some dude online tells you real men use Viscaria haha
Hope this helps
I might give the Innerforce alc or zlc a try . In my store the Francisca zlc is 50 dollars more expensive which is insane .Also sad to hear that Fan zhendong retiresKorbel is a medium fast all wood blade. Very controlled and decent speed. Hey, knowledgable dude here. Tbh its hard to tell him what to get without knowing what his current level is, what his playing style looks like etc etc. All we know is that he was contemplating between two different kinds of blades. Btw. your opinions seems also heavily biased towards the viscaria so don't take a jab at us. hahaWith all my respect, If I were you I wouldnt be fooled by these knowledgeable dudes. I own both, but they're like day and night. Viscaria is the second to none the BEST outer composite Blade among BTY line-up but it's unarguably still a REALLY demanding blade that only suits to really advanced players or those committed youngsters that can train MANY hours and days every week with proper technique and solid fundamentals.
Hence , you'd better stick on something more controlable such as Korbel, Hadraw or Innerforce ALC, which has an even more stressed Woody feeling than IF ZLC....
I can tell you my playing style . I try to stay close to table to mid distance . I have a quit aggressive style similar to dimitrij ovtcharov relying on power loops from both wings but preferably use forehand .Hey, knowledgable dude here. Well anyways, to elaborate. He is right Korbel and Innerforce are certainly easier to play but lack power you can borrow from the racket when you're used to a viscaria or innerforce zlc. Let's assume you have only played a year or two I would say stay far away from Viscaria and learn the basics with a slower blade first. Say you are a seasoned veteran and have been playing for years go try the innerforce if you are capable of controlling the blades (vis and innerforce zlc) and are simply looking for a slightly more forgiving blade.
Hey . I used Korbel before and I felt that I lack a bit o power so I went to viscaria and on forehand the blade is amazing but on backhand I didn’t feel it quite suit me . Im playing 4 times a week 2 hours a session a year ago I was playing 5 times .With all my respect, If I were you I wouldnt be fooled by these knowledgeable dudes. In short, you are a two-winged looper. Viscaria and its variant is your best choice for that kind of play with its superb handling on forehand and backhand. Why would you need more dwell on backhand? Unlike forehand that involves big movement, backhand relies more on shorter and more compact movement which make Viscaria is the best for its supposedly less dwell time.I can tell you my playing style . or classic grippy non-tensor rubber like Mark v / Sriver or Flextra. In short, you are a two-winged looper. Instead of blade, I think you just need to change your rubber. Vega pro is nice, but it gets activated too easily. Try Fastarc C1, hybrid or something slower for your backhand.
