Advantages are it speeds it up, your are ready on time, and the pre-load of wrist gives you options on the follow-on BH shot, slap, hit, drive, loop.He advises AGAINST tip of bat too far upwards and to not use too long a circle backswing and swing. He demonstrates a lot of mistakes too, so don't get fooled.
